I started today thinking I would start EDF: Insect Armageddon and probably give up on it pretty quickly, but I played the campaign on Hard online and managed to find a few players who made it really fun. Mind

Played a whole bunch of Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon today.

Today I went to Gamestop to take advantage of their buy 2 get 1 free sale on all used merchandise. While I was there, I was told there was a buy 2 get 3 sale on Skylanders figures. Well, well, how could I resist. I was just thinking of getting into Skylanders. Now was the perfect time. See pic below for all the goodies I got for the price of one new game:

Short gaming session today. It started with me helping Mark setup his new TV. Then we played some Ticket to Ride, that Alan Moon train tycoon board game on Xbox Live. It's always the same with that game: build a coast to coast railway and you will probably win. I just connect destinations and see where that leads me. Today it led me to dominance of the east coast of North America, but I also lost every single match because I didn't go coast to coast. 

Sales started on Thanksgiving day this year. BestBuy opened at 5pm and so did Target and probably a lot of other places. I couldn't get there until about 9pm or so, and so I missed the TV deal I was looking to get for my gamer friend, but I saw the PS4 sitting there for $300 and couldn't resist it at that price. It be 2011. Wah happan? I dunno, just a few things. . . Here's one favorite that I experienced that year, and then one I want to experience now for each media type.

Yes I finished Stacking today, every last little bit of it. I completed all the challenges, collected all the unique dolls, and did all the Hi-Jinks. I left not a stone unturned in that game, DLC and all. So fun.

Not stacking games on top of games like the last couple weeks, just playing the Xbox Live downloadable game Stacking, by Double Fine, all during the football game, and then the rest of the day. 

Today I picked up some VG stuff. I thought I wouldn't do the Halo novels that came out this year because there's at least three of them, but I did, and got two of them. Then I started gathering some games for my project in January looking at the 16th century (I was tired today and couldn't work out). I made a list and put books, art, music, and games. With regards gaming, unless I wanted to play backgammon or draughts (checkers), I had to find a better solution. So I did some research on video games that take place in the 16th century. I've only got a short list so far, so more work will need to be done. Below is a pic of today's stuff.
