It was pretty much all about games and films this year for me. I got so into games, I started blogging at 1UP. I wasn't sure how it was going to go, but clearly I got hooked. Five years later, and I haven't stopped. I guess I'll do another five.

Mark and I spent quite a bit of time in Gears of War: Judgment today, but i think both of us have had enough. Then I popped in Namco Museum Virtual Arcade and played Sky Kid and Sky Kid Deluxe, and then finally got started on Stacking. Details below.

Played more Gears of War: Judgment today after watching the Eagles lose by one point to the Dolphins. Thankfully Gears was fun, because the game wasn't.

It's the perfect day for a book sale. It's Fall, the sky is clear and bright, it's cool, and I got music on the brain. I haven't been so keen on books at the library book sales this year. It's been all about the music. Then I got a text message from Jay Str. Video Games that they had a game I wanted, Dragon Warrior I & II for Game Boy Color. I had some trades, so I thought I'd go pick that up. Here's a pic of all the stuff I got.

I said Mark and I would be deep into Gears of War: Judgment, and so we were. It was an all day session today. We beat the game, and right away started a second playthrough to gather the remaining cog collectibles and play through all the levels on Normal difficulty. It's all about the achievements now and trying new things in the game.

This morning a Microsoft Store opened in the King of Prussia Mall. This is the mall I've been going to since the arcade years. I couldn't get up early enough for the grand opening, where they probably handed out swag, but I went there in the afternoon hoping maybe I'd see Major Nelson, since he sometimes appears at new MS Stores. No dice there; however, I saw the Xbox One, 500 GB, being sold for $300. I couldn't resist. It was mine. See picture below:
