Lots of games smashed through this week. I imagine when I finish these under 10 hour games on my list, the amount of games I play each week will reduce to just a few. I kind of can't wait, because it'll make writing these blogs easier. Anyhow, here goes another blast of video games. 

What's ya gonna do in 2007? Hear some music? Read a book? Watch a tv show? Naw, it's all about the gaming. Some really big series, still very relevant today, got their start in '07. But I got some things to say about the rest of the media. Here's it all. 

I got Halo 2, 3, and 4 on day-one, but not this time. Halo 4, the first post Bungie, kind of annoyed me, so I'm not doing it this time. Oh well, end of an era for me. I got my old school gaming on instead.

I played a lot of different games today. Most of them annoyed me in different ways, but I was happy to get a bunch of them done and put aside as trade bait. My mission is to pair down my collection as far as possible. I guess my onlly problem is that I sometimes still add games to it like this week when I bought Ys I & II Chronicles for PSP. Here's the pic.

 Forgot to post this on Monday. I got this poster, actually two of them, from some Gamestopers. It's kinda neat. It shows the history of Mario games over their 30 year history. Pretty cool, I say.

2006, a year in which I bought a Xbox 360 because I just had to play Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It was a nice moment I remember seeing that expansive world for the first time at home. I got into comics starting with The Halo Graphic Novel. From there it was weekly visits to the comic store to pick up all sorts of new stuff. I also starting reading the Halo novels this year and have been ever since. The insane and incredibly entertaining movie Crank came out this year. I still quote from it all the time. I distinctly remember going to the movies to see Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny. It was ok. My favorite song, as happens many a time, was in the credits, the song, The Metal. I guess I could say more, but I think I'll just drop a bunch of top ten (or less) lists. Feelin' kinda down today. 

After revising my short-play list last night, I got down to some new titles today (Monday that is) starting with the Wii. I had my Game Cube controller ready to go for some Game Cube games too. Then it was back to Xbox 360, football and more Xbox. 

I had a half day of gaming today because of family, but that's ok. There's still a bunch of stuff to mention as I continue to churn through my quick-play playlist.  

Firstly, I am Master Chief. By that I mean we are the same age. I heard on IGN's Podcast Unlocked someone casually say that MC was 48. My eyes widened because I just turned that age a week ago. I didn't just go on the podcaster's comment though, I fact checked it on the Halo Wikia page and sure enough, in Halo 5, he is indeed 48. I just hope he isn't killed off in Halo 5. I'd feel a little weird about that. In any case, now I know what I'm going to be for Halloween.

2005. Can you believe right now it's the 10th anniversary of the Xbox 360? I remember getting that system like it was yesterday. 2005 is an interesting year because, for me, I was still playing my original Xbox and there were a load of great games for it . Why is it always the last year of system is its best? Anyway, here's an all-media look at my 2005.
