Ubisoft delivers a near perfect port of a near perfect game.
Stunning animations and gorgeous art design make this 2D platformer a must see for all gamers. The visuals aren’t the only trick up up Ubisoft’s sleeve though. The game’s top-notch controls and level design will assure you that the flashy visuals are merely the icing on a gameplay-focused cake.
Guy Longworth of Sony spills the beans in a recent interview.
While the Call of Duty series tends to make its way to all of the available platforms, up until now, nothing has been formally announced for Sony's upcoming handheld system. Though Activision has still yet to make any sort of proper announcement of the game, an interview with Geoff Keighley on GameTrailers.com revealed that a title is indeed in the works. Guy Longworth, Senior Vice President for PlayStation Brand Marketing stated in passing that a Call of Duty title will release for the Vita this fall.
This glorified tech demo fails to deliver an entertaining experience.
It is immediately clear that Little Deviants was designed to let you play with all of the Vita’s features. Within the first half hour you will use the touch screen, rear touch pad, motion controls, camera, and even the microphone. The ideas displayed are definitely interesting, but within that first half hour you will have seen everything the game has to offer. By the time I reached my first hour of gameplay I was already bored of all of the mini-games – even the good ones.
Download it only as an Xbox Live Arcade title on February 22, 2012.
Namco Bandai's "other" JRPG of 2004 was a victim of bad timing.
Well kiddies, it’s another fantastic Friday and that means another installment of our favorite bi-weekly column Missing in Action!
All M rated games could soon be legal in the land down under.
After years of waiting, Australia will soon be able to introduce a rating higher than the current cap of MA15+. Previously, the lack of a higher rating caused several titles rated M in the US, to be heavily censored or outright banned in that country. The list of banned titles includes the soon to be released Syndicate, as well as previously released titles such as Mortal Kombat, Left 4 Dead 2, Silent Hill: Homecoming, and Fallout 3.
In the three years since the release of Flower, thatgamecomplany has been working on a new video game experience that makes it clear that it’s not the destination that matters, but the path you take to get there. Journey, a PSN exclusive, is described by Creative Director Jenova Chen in the Official PlayStation Blog as an, “interactive parable, an anonymous online adventure to experience a person’s life passage their interactions with other’s.”
Both English and Japanese voiceovers available as well.
We can now narrow down the North American release window for Level-5’s Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. Namco Bandai revealed that they have moved from the vague release window of 2012 to the slightly less vague release window of winter 2012. Assuming the publisher isn’t referring to the winter we currently find ourselves in, this means that we’ll likely see the Studio Ghibli collaborated RPG come stateside at the end of the year.
Psst, Tekken team, online modes don't have to be broken.
Tekken 3D Prime Edition broke my heart. Over the past five or six days, I had the opportunity to really get to know Tekken and I've come to understand and enjoy its brand of fighting. Past efforts proved fruitless; but something clicked this time. At its core, Tekken 3D Prime Edition is really just a stripped down port of Tekken 6, complete with the full (enormous) roster unlocked from the get-go. Sounds great, no? Well, it was… until I took it online. Here the ugly monster within sprung free – just like Tekken 6, the online mode is broken; a shot through my love-struck heart.
