Double Fine has announced the release date for their new Xbox Live Arcade title exclusively for Kinect. Double Fine Happy Action Theater will be released on February 1, 2012 and will retail for 800 Microsoft Points or $10.

PS Vita Looks the Worst in a Bad Week for System Sales in Japan

The cantankerous PSP struts past that Vita whippersnapper.

The Media Create numbers that track video game sales in Japan for the week of January 9th through the 15th are out and present some pretty poor numbers all around.  The drop in sales across the board is probably due to the post-holiday retail doldrums.  The PS Vita sales numbers are getting the most attention for falling behind the PSP, which isn’t making way for Sony’s newer handheld.

Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time is coming to North America

Atlus to release the game this year for PSP.

Atus recently announced via press release and their web site that they will be bringing Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time to North American PSPs this summer.  This will be the “enhanced and expanded remaster of the strategy RPG classic,” which was previously available only in Japan where it is known as Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded. The game will be released both on physical media, and digitally on the PlayStation network.

Sony's "12 for '12" Promotion is Live

A solid mix of indie and major releases are up for grabs on the PSN to celebrate the New Year.

Last year Sony offered up 11 PS3 games at a discounted price as part of their “11 for 2011” sale; this year they look to up the ante by bringing 12 discounted titles to the PSN. Nintendo Bringing Fatal Frame Spin-Off to America

Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir is arriving in the US this April for the 3DS.

Today, Nintendo announced its intentions to publish Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir for the 3DS in America. Better known as a spin-off of the Fatal Frame series, the horror game will make use of the cameras in the 3DS system to provide augmented reality gameplay. Players won't have to wait long for the title, as it's due in roughly three months on Friday, April 13.

Oddworld's Munch Hopping onto PSN/Vita Quarter Two 2012.

No word on whether an Xbox 360 edition is planned.

Just a few weeks ago developer Just Add Water delivered on their promise to rerelease Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath in glorious HD.  Many gamers would have been content with seeing this underappreciated gem get a second chance on a new platform, but according to a tweet from their official Twitter account, the folks running Oddworld these days have further plans to spread the HD love by announcing Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee for an end of quarter two release.

All Zombies Must Die! Review

These zombies ate my neighbors, so now they all need to die.

Until Lucasarts does something with their cult classic Zombies Ate My Neighbors, this is the true spiritual successor to the classic SNES/Genesis multiplayer zombie killing simulator. From the overhead perspective to the cartoony visuals and wacky weapons, this game brought warm, fuzzy memories to someone that spent hours with Zombies Ate My Neighbors. With weapon crafting, RPG stat building, and four player co-op, this is the game I would have wanted had the series continued past Ghoul Patrol.

Zombii Attack Review

The N64 was two, almost three generations ago, right?

I would call myself a gaming enthusiast – someone who can appreciate just about any type of game for its unique merits. As such, I rarely see any game as a complete and total waste; Zombii Attack is one of those rare exceptions. Surely, it'd be better off buried somewhere out in the desert next to the Atari version of E.T..
