Let's Rate the Mario & Luigi Games!

Ooo, what games also use pop-up book ideas?

I bet their all kind of pricey. It seems everything is just going higher in value especially old Nintendo games. I really struggle to find affordable things to get these days. Physical games that is. There's always sales on the digital versions when that exists, but physical is nice, just costly.

It's high on my list for January. I'm having a lot of trouble finding other Arkanoid games in my local stores. There's one on SNES, Playstation and NES, and I can't find one of them yet. Not that I won't have ones to play because the arcade version is available digitally (and I bought it).

I'll have to pay more attention next time and check out Streets of Rage 2 music again. I'll certainly be playing it again next year.

It's funny how you can tell from only an hour or so that the controls are just where you want them in a game.

I'm interested in Paper Jam for it's pop-up book elements. I've only played SuperStar and Partners very thoroughly. I want to get to them all.

I used to have that Sears Pong console. It's looks like a museum piece, very cool deisgn to it. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pong#/media/File:TeleGames-Atari-Pong.jpg) I have to say, though, I'd rather play Breakout.

Yeah, when I heard Breakout being called Pong solitaire in an article I read, I thought, of course, single-player Pong. Then if you think about Arkanoid, that's Breakout taken to new levels of complexity and skill. There's also been some weird mashups that use Breakout-like mechanics like Kirby's Block Ball, which I tried to find today at Game Junkies. No luck though.

Apparently I was sold on your review and said in the comments I would buy it. Well, I didn't. I may next month though, if it's on sale. Oh and the Pong game on PS was Pong Next Level, which I will be playing again next month.

I have Arkanoid DS but not the controller, which I never knew existed. I'll have to look it up. Today I was looking for Arkanoid games at Game Junkies but only found a game called Break 'em All for DS, which I bought for $5.

Everyone I've hear talk about EO's music says it's great, but I'm not so sure. It's a bit like elevator music to me, enjoyable but lacking substance.

I like the stories, but I don't need them to enjoy a game. Now, my friend Mark, doesn't seem to care about story at all. He'll walk away from a game to get a snack during cutscenes. Oh, the crime of it! haha.
