In keeping with 1994, I played a bunch of Doom II today on Xbox Live. Fun game. I went for achievements right away since I've played it many times before. Remembering all the secrets on level 1 was interesting. After a while my memory was jogged and I got them all for an achievement. Then I was going for the one playing the whole game on next to hardest or better difficulty. Along the way I got the chainsaw kills one and tried to get the berzerk kills one on the first level you have that. Not enough enemies there to do it though. You need 20 within the very short time it's active and you're invincible. Later I found the room where you can get the kill a cyberdemon by punching. There's invincibility globes all around, so it shouldn't be too hard. I got a bit tired of playing it though and stopped. 

I only played some Minecraft on Monday and nothing else the rest of the week. I was at a car show all day Sunday, so nothing on the weekend either. Actually, I did bring my 3DS with me to the car show for street passes, but I haven't had time to check it yet. I'm looking forward to Tuesday when I pick up Etrian Odyessy Untold 2 and Rare Replay. I think I might pick up an Xbox One later in the week too. 

So here's a short list I made of the games I played back then and some I didn't but would love to now. 

Doesn't sound as good as nineteen eighty-four probably because it doesn't have the literary reference of Adolus Huxley's [George Orwell dummy] book to make it sound important, but I like it well enough. This year I was doing temp office work and hated it. I got offered full-time jobs but turned them all down. In retrospect, it was stupid, but then I was still in my twenties and didn't want to commit to anything. Sound familiar twenty-somethings out there? This below is the music I listened to. I made a list of 77 albums I want to hear now, but these were the 14 I heard then and liked, in no particular order.

In keeping with playing some 1993 games this week, I played some Kirby's Adventure on Wii, and Doom and Magic 2013 on Xbox Live. Then I was going to play the game I bought Sunday, Saint's Row: Gat Out of Hell, but I was feeling a bit worn down and so slacked my way back to Minecraft. That's the short tale. You can stop there if you want, or hear the longer tale below.

Here's my top ten list of stuff I want to watch or rewatch from 1993. Right now I'm watching the first season of Batman: The Animated Series. When I finish that, I'll get on to this stuff. 

What do you collectively call books, both fiction and nonfiction, poetry, comics and visual art books? I guess they are all books, not all are literature though. When you say "book" you automatically eliminate comics and art books. So I guess I'll use a Black Adder reference and call them what Baldric did in one episode, "big papery things".

It seems like 93 games at this point, but in fact, it is just ten games from a list of about thirty 1993 games I'm interested in. What I'll play is exactly one. . . and maybe two or three by the end of the week.

Started out today going for my speed run in Minecraft with Mark. We had to find the Stronghold and we narrowed down the location, with the Eyes of Endor, to this one mountain. By digging down we found it but couldn't find The End portal that takes you to the Endor Dragon. We searched everywhere in there. It took so long that I eventually gave up because we'd passed the six hours i thought it would take us. I began to just mess around and build a long stairway down the mountain, adding some water to make it like a water slide.
