Devil May Cry HD Collection Release Date

Get a triple dose of HD Dante next Spring!

Thanks to the trend of HD reissues, you could easily spend most of 2012 playing the best games from 2001-2006 and not even think that you were missing out. Hot on the heels of the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus and Metal Gear Solid HD Collections, we’re just a bit away from Silent Hill, and let’s not forget that Jak and Daxter is on the way as well. We here at PixlBit have quite a few games and series that we would like to see get the HD treatment. Devil May Cry didn’t quite make that list, but it was definitely in the discussion. We already knew that an HD collection for all things Dante was on the way, but now we know when.

Win Every Game on Steam

That's right--every game. Also, tons of stuff on sale!

Steam is synonymous with two things: being the largest PC gaming digital distribution portal and putting on crazy sales. Though some items have seen some deep discounts between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the real sales have just begun today. You can find prices slashed across the board; for those adventurous types, purchasing an entire publisher’s catalogue of games is a simple click away, at prices that seem almost criminal. But that’s not all that Valve has in store for PC gamers looking for some cheap deals. Steam members can participate in a type of Alternate Reality Game (ARG) to win some sweet prizes.

As Hideo Kojima continues his press tour to talk about the new Platinum Games rework of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, he took a little time to tease something new. The Metal Gear creator has a reputation for being cryptic and playful with fans and press alike, so take what you’re about to see with a grain of salt. But there’s a chance that the pictures Mr. Kojima showed on his Twitter could very well be a peek at his next project.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare Will Be More Action Packed

Remedy talks about the XBLA game, and announces the first game for PC.

Alan Wake was one of those interesting games that had the misfortune of getting released on the same day as a juggernaut (in this case, Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption). Even with a protracted development cycle, the cancellation of the PC version, and poor sales, the game garnered enough praise from critics and gamers to warrant a new game for XBLA. Revealed at the Spike TV VGAs, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare looks to be more of the cerebral horror game that the first one was. Or is it?

Skyrim 1.3 Patch Hits Xbox 360

PS3 patch should be following soon.

As is par for the course for the massive worlds created by Bethesda, Skyrim has not been without some serious, unforeseen issues. The 1.2 patch that went out a couple weeks ago was set to solve many of those issues, but ended up creating a whole new set of problems. Bethesda has been committed to addressing these issues in a timelier manner, and so far it looks like they are doing just that. The 1.3 patch went out for PC not too long ago, and today that patch has gone live on the Xbox 360.

Kojima: "There's Still Life in the Japanese Game Industry"

The man behind Metal Gear spills the beans on Rising, Platinum Games, and even MGS5.

There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the newly-renamed Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Hideo Kojima. Since showing off the new game concept at the Spike TV VGAs, Kojima has been all over talking about the reason for the changes, and why he went with Platinum Games for the game design. He’s been pleased with the reactions on Twitter, and has said that he feels that the VGAs will be the place to announce games in the future, as opposed to E3. Mr. Kojima recently talked at length about the new Rising project, and even let slip a little tidbit about what Metal Gear Solid 5 could be.
