Potentially one of the best looking games on the Vita right now. Oh, it's a pretty damn good fighter too.

With this new generation of handhelds it has become clear that home console fighting games can be brought to portable systems without cutting down the original in any way shape or form. To that point, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, a massive game, has been ported wholesale to the PlayStation Vita with absolutely no concessions.

Blizzard Lays Off 600 Employees

Only 10% of the affected employees are from game development.

Blizzard Entertainment announced today that they have cut 600 jobs as part of a "global reevaluation" of the company. Of those affected by the cuts, only 10% are from game development. Blizzard has assured that the World of Warcraft team, as well as current development and publishing schedules, have not been affected.

Arkedo Studio, the developer behind Big Bang Mini and the Arkedo series, is developing a new game with Sega as publisher. Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is a new platformer with a gory style and a lewd story. Expect the title to come out sometime this year for the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and PC.

EA Games Purchased Elsewhere Available Through Origin

Some player accounts are finding EA purchases made at retail or on Steam available on Origin.

Gamers who use Steam or who purchased a game by Electronic Arts in the past two years might want to check Origin to see what games the service says you own. Reports from G4 earlier today are indicating that some games are available to play through the Origin service if they were bought elsewhere. EA confirmed this, with some provisions and clarity.

Mark of the Ninja Sneaking Onto XBLA This Summer

The Shank developer is developing this new ninja title.

Klei Entertainment released Shank 2 early this month but the developer is already preparing for their next title, Mark of the Ninja. The Xbox Live Arcade title has a release window of this summer as confirmed by G4TV. The website features an interactive text adventure that if completed shows how the game looks.

HBO Go App Coming to Xbox 360 April 1

The previously announced app is finally on its way.

Back when the new Xbox dashboard was revealed, a variety of apps were promised for the system, but not yet deliver. Among those was HBO and their HBO GO service. With February coming to a close, the app is still unavailable, but we now finally have an official release date.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend Review

Awesome fighting mechanics and a variety of modes make this one of the best fighting games released recently.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend is an updated version of the original Continuum Shift that was released in 2010 with extra content. I myself am a big fan of the fighting game genre but I've yet to play a BlazBlue title. Although I was initially not impressed, as I continued to play, the game opened up and I  was rewarded with a complex, but gratifying combat system, an intriguing story mode and a colorful cast of combatants.
