April Fools '11 - Review Rewind: Metroid 64

Mother, TIME TO GOOO rake the leaves.

I picked this one up at a used game store for only $29 and it was better than I remembered! After 3 Metroid games they had to go in a new direction, especially with 3d and rumble packs taking off so fast. How did we survive without cell phones? I don't know. What I do know is that the game (which you just lost) took a three-pronged approach to action, adventure, and shooting.

April Fools '11 - Review: Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days

Given the new direction provided by Square Enix, Kane & Lynch has progressed in unimaginable ways.

It’s not every day that you stumble across a game with such amazingly progressive ideas that the majority of the game industry just doesn’t “get it.” It’s impressive, to say the least, with what Square Enix has managed to do with Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. Avante garde in design, the game’s cover mechanics turn the standard shooter formula on its head. The title was originally revealed two years back at E3 2009 as Monado: Beginning of the World. Slide Pad Love: Why It’s a Big Deal

Wait, they are calling it the Circle Pad now? Well that’s just lame.

I could list all the 3DS features, but that would seem just silly; I am not a PR machine. March 27th is soon upon us all, and we will all have the 3DS in our grasp. Will I be ready to handle a brand new Nintendo handheld system? While it will take a bit for me to experience the 3D aspect (since Nintendo of Canada hasn’t bothered to release any 3DS tour information yet), it will be yet another handheld cycle for me to go through, and I’m looking forward to it.

Crazy Taxi Review

Earn thousands of dollars in minutes from the comfort of your own car!

Let's get this out of the way: Crazy Taxi, as it's available on PSN and XBLA is a modified port of a Dreamcast port of a now-classic arcade game. The Dreamcast port added in a second city to chauffeur customers around town, as well as the “Crazy Box” mode, which contains sixteen driving tests to hone and expand players' mad taxi skills. The PSN and XBLA version of Crazy Taxi is much like the Dreamcast version, with the extra city, time modes, and Crazy Box.
