Another Sony Controller Patent Found

The controller appears to be made with specific usages in mind.

Sony has been quite active this generation with controller designs. With the "wand" coming to fruition next year, and a possible Nunchuk-like attachment to follow, it's obvious that Sony is researching how users want to play their games.

Their latest patent was found by Siliconera, and was filed in the US by SCEA.

In the patent, Sony refers to the remote as a "hand held game controller" and looks to be somewhat similar to the controller used for the game, Buzz.

Given the design, it could perhaps be adapted for use as a Nunchuk to accompany the "wand" controller. It's uncertain if the patent will ever be put to use, but we have included the pictures from the filing for reference below.
