Upgrade Your 360 Hard Drive to 320 GB This Month

Stand-alone drive is the largest available to date.

Hot on the heels of the announcements of the media-centric dashboard update and the host of streaming television content on the 360 comes the announcement that a 320 GB hard drive will be released in late October.

The 360 Media Hard Drive is the largest capacity hard drive for the system yet, and will be compatible with the “S” models of the 360 only. Included with the drive is a download code for Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, which was released earlier this year. The hard drive and game will retail for 129.99, though it should be noted that the download code will not be offered in Japan,       Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The 320 GB drive has so far only been available in special system bundles, like the Gears of War 3 Limited Edition console and the upcoming bundles for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Star Wars Kinect. Up until this announcement, the largest stand-alone hard drive for the 360 has been the 250 GB drive. Sony released a version of the PlayStation 3 with a 320 GB drive last year.
