Retro games are getting expensive, too!
If you ever beat the first Klonoa game, just be prepared. it has one of the saddest video game endings I've ever seen. Which is surprising for such a cutesy game.
Akatsuki is definitely interesting and kept me interested longer than what I thought it would. But not that much longer.
If Switch 2 prices keep going up, I predict a resurgance in game rentals.
A lot of people panned Epic Mickey 2 back in the day but I don't think it was THAT bad.
Kirby games are great. I really think they're better than Mario games. Same goes with Wario Land titles. I think they're better than Mario as well.
Klonoa is such a fantastic series. Shame Namco didn't keep up with it. Glad they did the remakes, though. After playing those, I realized how much I liked them.
Monster Boy is great, but it got too hard for me later on.
I remember when Commander Keen was big on shareware. Since the company who made those games is in the same area I live, they were always at the forefront around these parts. I heard that Commander Keen is a descendant from the guy in Wolfenstein!
Super Mario Land 2 is fun, but again, I prefer the Wario games. This was actually Wario's first appearance, though.
Donkey Kong on GB is one of the best classic arcade updates even to this day.
Oh man, I remember that Doritos game! What a dumb one!
I tried to review that Penny's Big Breakaway but wasn't able to. Oh well, their loss. Shame that company just went out of business.
Yeah it'll definitely make it on my GOTY list of great classic remakes.
I will do that!
If Nintendo Switch 2 games are going to be as expensive as they say, I may have to look into renting games more. I wonder if GameFly is still around? I never used them, but I might now.
Sonic X Shadow Generations is actualy a remake of Sonic Generations with new content. I reviewed the original back in the day and thought it was pretty good. I liked how they gave 2D chubby Sonic classic levels based on the new ones.

I liked Mario vs. Donkey Kong. It's actually a sequel to the Donkey Kong Game Boy game. Even though I liked the Game Boy one way better, the sequel wasn't bad. Switch remake adds some nice new features, too.
I enjoyed Nintendo World Championships NES Edition, but not as long as I thought I would. It's basically NES Remix for speedrunners.

I liked Epic Mickey, but not enough to buy the remake. One of the feathers in my game reviewing cap was being on a roundtable discussion with Warren Specter, the guy who helped create Epic Mickey.
Yes it's the same brother who is in most of the podcasts. Sometimes I have oher brothers on it, but it's usually him. You see, last December he got married, and his wife has two kids, a young adult lady who doesn't live with her, and an 8 year old son she has joint custody with. So he has a stepson and I have another nephew.
You know at weddings how there's a wedding cake and a groom's cake? Well his groom's cake had Kirby on it. You don't think someone might've had an influence on him in his life, do you? :) I can send you a picture of the cake if you like probably on Facebook.
After the wedding, the nephew said about us, "Now that they're part of the family, they can all put in profiles on the Xbox!"
