I never played the Wii Punch Out game. But then, I'm not a big fan of the past games in the series. I've played them all, just never could get into them.
As much of a fan of Kirby as I am now, it may come hard to believe that I wasn't a fan from the first game. No, it was actually Kirby's Dream Course that won me over. That was a very excellent and creative game.
One game that I'm really good at is Super Pac-Man.

Hm, I would think the controls would be better on the 3DS than iPad, but the virtual controls didn't bother me too much. Although your 'lock on' finger goes all over the place!
