As for a Resident Evil 1-like, you should check out "White Night" on Steam. It is a monochrome, black/white 3D exploration game that looks like Sin City and you investigate a mansion similar to the spencer mansion in RE. I'd wait for a Steam Sale for a price drop, but it is worth checking out.


As for Metroid Prime, I think that at the time it released it was compared to Halo and because it wasn't online/multiplayer/action heavy, it was basically trashed, thus there only seem to be Nintendo fanboys who really appreciated the game and preferred the slower exploration and atmospheric emphasis.

Shadow of Colossus really needs a sequel dammit! OMG imagine next gen visuals, or at least a remake. I think God of War has some awesome giant ass monster battles, but yeah, need a Shadow of Colossus sequel. 

Ah yes, like Majoras Mask, or how supposably Ocarina of Time created different timelines for Zelda. Cool idea. There were also other lands mentioned beyond where the games took place and I wouldn't mind visiting those places. 

I was going to say this. It's too familiar. I wouldn't mind it if they played around with a bit more color. After playing DS2 I felt like it was more of the same. I really want something that feels new, like Bloodborne I suppose.

Yeah. I pretty much agree with what you wrote. I played each episode as they were released each week and replayed them all waiting for the next episode and played that arcade mode to keep me busy as well. It was more focused than RE 6 and Rev 1, which split you off in different directions, while this game just took place in one place. I really love Code Veronica and this is the closest to an HD remaster of that island adventure I'm going to get, so I embraced it as such. Quite fun!

Witcher 3 is like totally super long! However, I don't think any of the content is bad. Yes there is a lot of padding with contracts and side missions and clearing out camps on the overworld, but I think it's all very well done. My only real issue so far is with the combat. I don't think it's as bad as others have stated but it could have been re-worked or enhanced a bit more to make it feel fresh. I don't know about them Fallout games, the 3D ones at least. I talked about my reluctance to play open world games before on a previous blog. 

Chin up! Although, Witcher book is quite dark and depressing.

Sorry about the job situation. Don't give up on yourself. If it's one thing that I hate about job recruiters is that they don't even bother to send an email or call you up to say "No, Thanks", so you end up waiting the whole week after by the fucking phone. What a bunch of dicks! 

As for reading, I'm reading the first Witcher Novel which is pretty great. I recommend if you enjoy the game.

As for games, I'm playing Witcher 3 as well and Pillars of Eternity too.  

Nah. I haven't played Bloodborne yet. I'll probably wait til holiday to get a PS4. I'm pretty happy with PC, VITA and 3DS at the moment. Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV aren't supposed to come out until next year anyway. 

You can also download free demos if you want to get a sample for the games Nintendo has to offer. The Bayonetta 2 demo is really good and really makes the system shine honestly. Wind Waker HD is simply gorgeous and glorious, not to mention Smash Bros and Mario Kart. I've got a few virtual console games as well, but the game I've put most hours into has been Monster Hunter 3. I pretty much bought the system to play that game. Playing off TV isn't a novelty, and actually I love that I can do this with certain PS3 games on my VITA too. ZombiU is also a very unique game to the system and I believe there may be a demo still, and it was also one of my fav games on the system.

It also plays Wii games, so I was able to play Xenoblade Chronicles and a few other great Wii games that I missed on Wii.
