A running zombie doesn't make sense. I mean..., aren't their bodies rotting? There is no blood pumping in their veins. No oxygen is going to their muscles. Do they even have muscles? How are they going to run if they're rotting? And, if they could run, they sure as hell wouldn't run long or have super human strength.

Dragon Quest games are long.
I hadn't heard of most of these. I'll have to check some of then out.
The first time I played BG&E, I didn't like it much. I gave it another chance after a couple years passed and enjoyed it enough to finish it. It's not a bad game and it's not long either.
I not big on anal, but I like butts. 
My oldest son & I love playing the Gears of War games together. My kids love playing the Lego games. I also enjoy playing Final Fight, Sengoku 3, 8 Man, Cyber-Lip, Double Dragon, Battle Toads, and other arcade beat'em ups with my kids too.
There are a lot of games on XBLA & PSN that are worth your time, but they're not cheap. I make a list of games I hear are good and wait for the sale. I own over 50 games from XBLA & PSN and probably paid full price for less than 10 of them.
I preordered it, but I just picked up my copy yesterday morning. I want to play the 1st game before I start the 2nd.
