I think it's great that you're continuing to put these out. The best podcasts are the ones where the hosts are passionate about their subject matter and give no fucks if they have a large audience or not. I'll try to give your podcasts more listens from now on. You still doing new and old games? Carry on! Cool

Top 10 Progressive Metal Albums Since 2010

It's funny how you criticise nostalgia hounds because I was recently listening to the 'social network' sound track by Trent Reznor and it is one of my favorite NIN albums, considering it's a soundtrack. Yes, it's mostly ambiance and mood, but you know I love atmosphere. Also, the latest Marilyn Manson album is one of the best, 'the pale emperor'. I found myself listening to it over and over and then I came across a new song by Deftones which is just a demo of a song that might show up on a new album. It's called Smile and is one of my fav tracks from them.  New aint always bad.

You make good points.  I don't identify with the people addicted to item hunts or whatever, but like I've heard people say that if you play a game like Mario, that if you try to get all the coins, like the hard to get ones actually test your skill in the game and so thats rewarding, but then there are item hunts that dont test your skill or anything it's just padding to keep you "In It" longer.  I honestly just main line the game and then move on. I know there's an achievement culture, but I dont follow it. I just don't think I have an addiction problem. Coffee, now there is an addiction I cannot kick! I love it! And it loves me too! Laughing Okay, maybe I am addicted to games like coffee. This an AA meeting now. My name is asreal, and I have a Batman problem. Cry

I've played many games the article describes, but honeslty never stick to them more than a week or so. Even still, I prefer games for story and atmosphere than easy rewards and achievements, and actually, I never got onto the achievment bandwagon. I also schedule my gaming time to condition myself to stop. In short, you can play games as entertainment in place of TV, movies or whatever in a responsible way and still have a normal life. However, psychologists are used as advisors to help develop these rewards systems so I can see how this can trap some people. It really depends on the person. I think slot machines are more hazardous.

Well, I think this year I'm going to try and play spooky games that I haven't tried before. Rock,Paper,Shotgun put out a list of the top horror games and I might go by them this time. Batman is really fun so far!

I'm still playing Witcher 3. It is very long, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. Feels kind of like a long novel, and I'm okay with that. Batman is quite fun, albeit very arcade/shooter. I've enjoyed the Batman that I've played so far.

Oh God! The peer pressure. Something tells me that if I cave and get it, erbody gonna stop playing it. I might have to cave and get PS+.

I agree with all of this Saqfu. Yes, the PSN store feels way too empty and had me missing my PS3, which is still plugged in. I would have loved to have played some PSOne/PS2 on PS4 without that dreadful streaming service that I will never use.

I'm ashamed to admit that I've yet to play The Last of Us, me being a horror and RE fan. I'll eventually purchase it on sale or something and probably love it like everyone else.

Also, how far are you in Arkham?

Oh okay. I seem to remember sharing similar gaming tastes so I trust what you're saying to be true. I have enjoyed everything up to now, even the first Ridler race track was odd, but interesting. Chasing Firefly with the car was interesting too. And that Bat Monster scared the fuck out of me! Also, I've heard mentions of this game being similar to Silent Hill and Horror. I see the Horror, but not so much Silent Hill. Any thoughts on this? Does Gotham turn to some wierd Silent Hill later or something? What other games do you have or recommend on PS4?

I think part of it for me is that I really like the batmobile parts. I don't really play car racing games, aside from Mario Kart, and I remember really enjoying SpyHunter and this is kind of Batman Mario Kart with SpyHunter and I really like it. The drone tanks are kind of dumb, but I haven't gotten bored of taking down guards around hangouts or whatever. Plus that extra air boost makes getting around easier. I can't quite articulate it, but the game has really grabbed me and I just think it's really fun. What did you love/hate about previous games and what were you disappointed about with this one? I only just got to the zeppelins area, so I don't know how much more of the game is left?

Oh, and I don't have any other games besides Omega Quintet which is a JRPG. I'm playing alot of PC games right now.
