Sure it counts. I guess it's point n click adventure or interactive novel/movie genre.

These are all good ones. I just listed my top 5 off the top of my head.
I think Steins;gate is supposed to be a true novel in graphic form. Or at least more novel than game. What system is it on? I've heard good things about the Anime too. I keep confusing 999 with Virtues Last Reward and thought they were the same game?
It's just that the PSN sales aren't very cheap. I would love to get all the RE games or FF games for flash sale like Steam, but it's like $10-$15 for classic games and still almost full price for Indies and AAA. I guess Steam spoiled me.
I actually liked that the side quests were pushed to the side. Since the whole game is like a Batman simulator, it would make sense for Batman to be able to choose which events he wants to prioritze first. I hate open world with tons of quests all over the map. Feels overwhelming. I use the filter on the Gotham map and just pick them off. I need to try that VITA game.
Yes. Until Dawn is my type of game, and actually so was Alien Isolation, which feels similar although I thought AI dragged on for too long.
The tank battles were more of an issue with me because they seemed to slow down the pacing of the story. I liked the detective stuff and puzzles, but having to fight all the tanks, especiall the stealth ones while I was trying to finish the story got really repetative and annoying. I would have liked more team ups, detective stuff and less tank battles, but they game was great anyway.
I wouldn't mind going back and seeing the other stories in the Arkham games. I'm just not a fan of open world, but I like the way side content was made optional.
Okay, so I finally finished the main quest for Arkham Knight and overall I was very satisfied with the whole experience despite some annoyances with stealth gameplay and wall/ceiling racing with the batmobile. It did feel like a very gritty dark/horror action movie and I liked some of the puzzles with the batmobile as well. I liked the throwback to some of the more classic batman stories like The Killing Joke. This was a really terrific podcast and since the game is as long as it is, it deserves a 2 hour long podcast to cover it all. I actually spoiled the second ending and watched it on youtube but that's because I don't like to 100% games, something @SuperStep blogged about recently. I might jump in and finish off some of the more interesting side quests related to main villains, but the game was overall satisfying and lengthy considering I've got 50% more game to finish. The best podcast yet guys! I liked all the annecdotes about Batman comics and cartoon series from everyone. A fun l isten.
I didn't mean to trash the system. I just have a backlog on PC right now and I like quirky Japanese games or traditional JRPGs and horror type games. So games like The Evil Within, Dying Light, Bloodborne, FF15, etc are high on my list of interersts, but if they're available on PC, then I'll play them on PC. I also really like the odd indie release on PC. KIngs Quest is really great right now, as is Odullus-The Dark Call, Victor Vran, Guild of Dungeoneering- and so on.
Tell me more about the Youtube thing? You just jump out of a game and into Youtube to search for game secrets huh? Does this close out your game? Interesting?
I received the PS4 as a gift, and honestly would have held off on purchasing one until at least a new price drop or redesign. It ain't bad, but could use new games.
