Diamonds and a special sound. Kind of nice.
Diamonds and a special sound. Kind of nice.
I have so many games where I have just a few achievements left. There's always that one that's either hideously time consuming or just too darn hard to get. I like that XBO added a rarity stat to achievements. It makes me feel better about the ones I do get that are rare. I got a few of those today in Doom. One was worth 100 points. Upgrade all runes, I think it was.
I remember the game awards show being full of bad jokes mostly at the expense of gamers. Stuff that showed how self conscious they were of being off the mainstream of things. This one was pretty serious with lots of hearfelt speeches. Also, Michael Phelps presenting an award and saying how e-sports are as demanding as other sports. Bold.
I played Blue Dragon but didn't quite finish it. I left the game right before the final boss area. It's good that it's backwards compatible with XBO now. Maybe I'll go finish it.
I have Lost Odyssey around here somewhere. I've been playing handhelds at home, but I could set up my 360 and do some RPGs. That's a very tempting thought.
I'd like to get Diablo III for XBO. I have Dragon Age Inquisiton and Wasteland 2 already sitting on my shelf. Just a matter of time and priorities. I hope Dragon Quest XI comes to the U.S. next year. It'll be out in Japan next Spring, last I heard. Also Etrian Odyssey V.
So many people listen to music while playing games. I've really never been into that unless it's for comedy purposes. I like to hear all the in-game sounds.
I don't know why I resisted, really. Last black friday I picked up a Xbox One and then couldn't resist a PS4 as well. Both of those were $300.
It seems like a perfect handheld game in terms of the art and gameplay, but those menus, yikes. Even if i had my 20 something eyes, I think I might have an issue with it.
Like Minecraft, it'll probably eat time like crazy.
I was surprised it was going for $60. It's on sale right now, but only 15% less. I think the Duke Nukem factor is going to win out for me though.
It's got new levels and various fixes. I fondly remember Duke Nukem from the 90s. All that stupid humor. I thought it was funny in the Game Awards show trailer that Duke's few lines were almost completely bleeped out. Bulletstorm was already a whole lot of silly swearing, how much more will Duke bring? I'm actually kind of scared to know, now I think of it.
It looks wonderful. I'm so tempted to get it, but I should finish what's on my plate first.
