I can't think of another game who's story has really stuck with me like Halo's. I mean, it's a scifi story, not crazy deep and all, but it conjures up all those novels I read in high school. Also, it's a positive tale of heroism and victory over impossible odds. That's always uplifting.
Fanboys for sure, but I heard several journalists on my podcasts, who are usually pretty critical of everything, just gush about it. And, I heard a roundtable discussion on GameInformer's podcast with Bioshock's Ken Levine, among other serious game devs, and they were all just overflowing with praise. I think part of it might be that Nintendo hasn't really put out anything really great in a good while and it's renewed everyone's long dormant love of Nintendo.
I saw Guardians starts in April. I'm currently thinking that I'll wait until a copy with all the episodes comes out. I'm wondering if I can resist it though.
I saw that Red Sonja flick too. It's good to watch along side the Conan movies.
Lately, thinking about the 80s makes me feel very stupid. I was there when computers were becoming a thing and I turned away from it. I'm literally nowhere right now.
I looked up the Diggle. Interesting. Now I understand.
Looks like all the main series games through Halo 4 were "M" rated for "blood, violence, and mild language". They seem really tame to me. I'm kind of surprised they're "M" rated. Halo 5 is "T" rated though.
So, I saw the list that contains all Halo media in chronological order. Oh god, no. I have read all the books but a book takes something like a game's worth of time to read. It would easily double the time of this project. Although, now I think about it and look at the list again, it might be cool to do that sometime. A lot of the books do fill in some important details of the overall story like where did 343 Guilty Spark come from and how did Master Chief become a Spartan. I do recall now seeing Huragoks (engineers) in Halo 2 and screaming at my a.i. team mates to stop shooting them because they were innocent slaves of The Covenant. You wouldn't know that, though, if you hadn't read the books.
Trying to think. Was it a Star Wars movie? Oh yea, a recent one; um, won't mention which one for spoiler reasons. Yea, it was exactly like that were there was some overlap of scenes.
Kinda wish the console version at something like skulls in Halo. I'd turn on super fast reloads and always super rare drops.

I'd collect ships that looked like Galaga ships too.
