Yeah, it really sucks when a publisher squats on an IP they own and refuse to do anything new with it. Why can't they buy those fan projects and let them finish? I think they would make some decent money that way. I was kinda upset that Crimson Echoes got a C&D. The beta was pretty awesome.
Bleh. I didn't get one. Anyway, I suggest one of the lovely Squaresoft classic titles you missed out on. Also, Mega Man 9 & 10, Pac-Man Chaptionship Edition DX, Limbo or Jet Set Radio if you are so inclined.
I was not a Genesis guy, so I mostly missed out on the Sonic games. I did enjoy the Mega and Gems collections on the Gamecube, but I guess I never really saw what all the fuss was about with the 2D Sonics. I also enjoyed Adventure and some of the other 3D Sonic games, too. CD was alright, but I just don't see why this title is regarded as awesome. The Gotye song is pretty cool tho. Hope your cat gets better. =)
Gamers like to complain. A Lot! It's been that way for awhile now. It's been the worst ever since video games went mainstream. I try not to pay attention to it anymore. Just not worth the frustration.
Haha! I remember that part. S.M. was good for what it was. It was actually a pseudo remake of the original. I liked the chase scenes, but I guess that everybody else hated them. Oh well.
Gotta play 'em all. Haha! I'm waiting for ME Trilogy to come down in price before I get it. I just can't see myself paying over $40 for it, especially since I'm pretty happy with all I have to go through right now.

Your collection puts mine to shame. lol I liked the video, and I agree. The more games I accumulated throughout the years, the less invested I became in them emotionally. I guess that's why I'm not as active on collecting anymore. I still have some work to do on my collection of past games as it is. Besides, the older ones just feel better to me.
Other than the first game, I really liked the one for Wii, Shattered Memories. Those chase scenes were pretty scary! And of course, I could never forget the demon school in the first game. It was like exploring Freddy Krueger's place. Very scary!
