I'm definitely going to be getting that game.
I'm definitely going to be getting that game.
Yes, we're all playing Mario Maker because it's AWESOME! And why would anyone want to play a new Metal Gear game when Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer comes out in a week. :)
But just for you, i'll write a mini-blog right here on this comment since you are very cool. I'll write about everything I know about Metal Gear, which isn't much.
When I was a kid I played the first Metal Gear game and its sequel on NES. I didn't get very far, but I learned much later that they're not 'true' Metal Gear titles so I guess it doesn't matter. I remember that I liked hiding in the box and riding the truck "that have started to move."
I have a GBA game called Konami Krazy Racers and there are Metal Gear characters and tracks in it.
I actually bought Metal Gear Solid 3 on PS2 when it was on sale because there was an Ape Escape mini-game in it. There was also a Metal Gear mini-game in Ape Escape 3. That's all I played in MGS3, but it was the game that got my brother Jeff addicted to the MGS series.
You can play as Solid Snake in one of the Smash Bros. games, but I hardly ever used him becasue...KIRBY! I did like how Kirby looked when he would copy Snake's abilitiy.
The only thing I know about Metal Gear Solid V si that one of the characters is named Quiet. I decided that Quiet would be my favorite MGS character because...I like the name!
"Hi, what's your name?"
"I'm Quiet."
"Well that's good to know, but what's your name?"
"I just told you, I'M QUIET!"
"Well you're not being quiet right now."
"YES I AM, I'M ALWAYS QUIET!"
"..."
I think Quiet should have a friend named Noisy. Or Peace. So then they could be Noisy and Quiet or Peace & Quiet.
And that's all I know about Metal Gear! Maybe I can make a Metal Gear level in Mario Maker since you CAN make Mario hide in a box. But I probably won't do that. --Cary
PS: Hey if you get a chance, please go read my new blog!
Yeah like I said before, 2001 was a rough year for me for many reasons. That was the last year I wrote for the Dallas Morning News, and it all went downhill from there. The main thing I remember about 2001 gaming-wise was that it was when the GameCube was released, and it had some awesome launch titles like Luigi's Mansion, Super Monkey Ball, and Super Smash Bros. Melle a short time after.
Hey, if you haven't already, go read my new blog if you get a chance.
Thanks! Yeah that's the trouble with Cammy is that she's kind of a fanservice character.
When they had the Dogs vs. Cats Splatoon splatfest, I couldn't decide. So I let my brother Jeff pick and he chose dogs.
If you have little kids around the house, have them play my new level! They'll learn while they play!
Preschool Fun! Mario’s ABC’s!

Oh thanks! Although I can't imagine how that jacket would smell in real life! :)
Now THERE'S a pretend present I can get behind!
It's probably a good thing we can't date video game characters, though. They lead such exciting lives that they'd get bored with us regular folk.
"So what did you do today?"
"Well I clobbered M. Bison and saved the world from his evil tyrannical plans! Did you do anything exciting today?"
"Well I went to Wal-Mart and found laundry detergent on sale!"
"Oh...yeah...."
But I like cats, too, even though I haven't had one as a pet in many many years. It was hard for me to decide which side to pick in the first Splatoon splatfest (Dogs vs. Cats) because I like 'em both!
I think we'll see DLC packs in the future. I bet we'll see a Japan Super Mario Bros. 2 skin since it's so similar to the first game, and they can just add the poison mushroom and red piranha plants and that would just about do it. I'd LIKE to see a US Super Mario Bros. 2 update, but the gameplay is so different in that one I don't know if it would work. You have a lot of good ideas that I bet they can implement as well, though.
Did you see that there's going to be a Super Mario Maker stage in Smash Bros.?
