I played it. I almost platinumed it but for a couple of the races which I didn't want to spend the time to perfect. I want to go back to it and try and get that platinum though. Oh yes.
Ernest Cline was a screenwriter first and his book reads like one. I just found it went overkill on the pop culture references but maybe he was hedging all his bets in case a movie deal happened and he'd have to find licenses they could afford to use in the film. I noticed he was co-writer on the screenplay and co-producer as well. He made sure he got his money on this one. It also gives him a little more credit for how well the movie turned out.
I could've seen it in IMAX but didn't think it was quite epic enough for it. I saw it at Movie Tavern instead and had a beer wedged in between two kids and their parents.
Well, I thought it was perfect for him because he became so megafamous in the 80s. I'm sure it's a favorite time for him.
And by the way, I forgot to mention all the music references. One in particular has to do with the first Joy Division album which I just got a day before I saw the movie, and so got the reference. Weird coincidence there.

Well, Rampage might be good. It's so hard to tell from trailers.
She's definitely strong. In the cutscene for her she takes out a whole bar room full of burly bikers.
My only gripe is that it seems a tad too easy.
I began, after many hours, to see the annoying qualities of english and its intolerably inconsistant spelling of words.
