Well if Nintendo is denying the claim, then that's who I'm going to believe. But, they may only be denying it so that Wii U owners and 3rd party and indie developers and stockholders don't jump ship. And there's nothing that says they can't change their mind and stop production later in the year.
I really like the Wii U. It has more interesting games than the PS4 and Xbox One right now for me anyway. And I don't have anything against Sony and Microsoft. I had a PS3 and 360 and enjoyed the 360 more than the original Wii! But then, I also really liked the GameCube, so maybe I don't have good tastes in consoles?
