More Games Than a Dragon Can Hoard

I was reminded today that the question didn't say U.S. but North America. For me I consider US and Canada North America but according to wiki Mexico is also part of North America. I forget the exact question but it might have been something like Mayan ruin in North America or Aztec ruin in North America. I think the Mayan ruins are in what's considered Central America. Aztecs in Mexico. The answer might have been Chichen Itza which is right near the border between Mexico and Guatamala. Guatamala is considered Central America, Mexico North America. Ah, stuff you learn playing Trivial Pursuit.

My friend Mark goes in to Serrano mode when he gets annoyed. You know how he was. He basically becomes the villain at the end and is the filthiest mouth in the game.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 Demo is up on eSHOP

I saw the preorder on Xbox Live the other day for VC4. I so want to have it. You lucky Switch owners get a demo. I'm jealous.

Dragon Quest for sure. I won't have money for it though. The only day-one I'll get in the Fall is what comes to Game Pass on Xbox, which is Forza Horizon 4. Maybe the library will get Dragon Quest and I can rent it.

I was doing a half-gallon a day of water for a while. Now that I'm making all my own meals, I don't feel the need to be so strict about it anymore. I do have water bottles with all the time though.

I use backloggery for my database now. Now that I have Game Pass and rent through the library, I wonder why I still do it but I still have retro stuff I actually own.

I think when I get to 2005-2009 next month I'll be thinking those years were the turning point. I didn't get an iPhone but that came out in 2007. Facebook was out in '04 but probably took off '05 and beyond. I was fully online after 2005 with console gaming. Early 2000s I was just toying with it on PC and not doing very much. Napster was probably my biggest involvement online those years 2000-2004. It's so weird to think of a time before universal smart phone use. It's really altered the landscape.

I should put the album we did up on Bandcamp. That's easy to share. I'll put it on my to do list.

I'd like to find some people to play with again. I have a friend across the street from me. We jammed once but he seems kind of busy with work right now. I've got to find some time for it.

Well, I play them permadeth style. Once out, game over. I get like a couple hours in that way. Like movie length. Ha ha.

It's weird but I don't get the sense that I, in real life, am always in first-person. It's not quite the same as in a game where you feel like you are in a tank all the time. . . I think I see myself partially in third-person in real life. Like, I see my hands typing this and I'm aware of stuff in my periferal vision. It's first-person but enhanced, I guess. . . Or, it's more like Gears of War where you switch back and forth. I get a sense of both perspectives in real life. Games really split it into distinct views. . . Some games let you look at yourself in first-person though. That's more realistic. A lot of times you can't see your own shoes in a first-person game, like you had goggles on.

My friend Mark and I say the silly lines from that game all the time. I believe she says, "I'm going to kill your dick." Ha ha.

July 2018 Recap

I don't think I'm going to beat a game ever again. So much stuff at my fingertips now with digital downloads and free games. I get distracted quickly.

I remember Sine Mora. I love the graphics in that game. I played a demo of it and it was hard.
