It's the same kind of thing in Diablo III. You get a huge number of weapons and artifacts that are mostly useless. Then there's that one that's like a tiny bit better. I'm kind of tired of chasing that method of improvement in a game.
I might try the new one since I can rent it for free from the library.
Yea, the movie was kind of bland now that I look back on it, and the characters too. I still don't like the Batfleck. He just doesn't seem right for that role.

Mark and I were playing Halo split/screen a lot. I was always looking to see if he was cheating by looking at my side of the screen (not hard to do even if you're not trying). That was my main interest in getting seperate tvs. Flat screens were just getting under $1k. The last one I got, probably around 2012, was the same size, better resolution but cost me under $200.
I remember getting leftover PCs from my friend's job around that time. We'd hook 'em up and play Doom. I think that's how we got those PCs. I'll have to ask him tomorrow 'cause he'll probably remember.
CRTs. . . I think I switched to flat screens sometime around '04 or so. I'm not breaking my back on one now, even if they do look better for retro gaming. I noticed in Sega Classics Collection that they emulate the curved screen and colors of a CRT if you want it. I like that.
