New Gear

On Xbox it's pretty effortless but I thought you played while seeing your own video. Maybe I'm wrong and only the viewers see it.

I have only heard classical in soundtracks and some video games of late. I like the classical music from the early 20thc because it gets weird.

Battles with "fixes" and other misadventures

I've been getting weird yernings for Borderlands lately. I may play one of the old ones, but I really want a new one. When?

I'd like to try AC Origins sometime. I'll rent it from my library. I definitely want that Spyro collection. It's on my must-have list. My library has the PS4 version but I want to play it on Xbox One. I'll just wait until it gets to $20 or so.

Interesting books. I haven't taken that challenge on Goodreads. I'm already feeling like I'm spending too much time reading. I just can't help myself. You should see my breakfast table, a mountain of books on either side of me as I do my morning read. I've got a morning read and a lunch time read. Then there's school work reading. I must be reading almost all the time. I thought today I should only allow myself to read while in the library. That way I don't take out so many books. It would also limit my reading time. I don't know though. Maybe it's ok. I just need focus right now.

I see the reason for dark comedy now.

Quick Hits: Movies, Books, And Hot Chocolate

Hot chocolate for sure. I've been going to that since I pretty much gave up coffee. Swiss Miss is the best, with mashmallows. I got to get some quality marshmallows though. Packaged with the Swiss Miss is ok, but not ideal.

Those Hot Wheels Star Trek toys are a must have. I'll have to pop over to Walmart tomorrow.

I've been thinking a lot about black writers and how I've read very few of them. I just read about this black poet from the 1900s Paul Lawrence Dunbar I never knew about.

Those Vita carts are small. I love the boxes they came in though. Nice size there. I wish I still had mine. One day I'll build the library again.

I wonder if you can do what people did on PSP with Vita. Hack it and add a lot of roms to it. It's a fantastic piece of tech. Should be used for something.

Yea that proprietary memory was really a bad idea. I never upgraded because of that and so I couldn't put a lot of games on it. I would've bought more games with normal priced memory. What were they thinking?

We do live in blessed times

Ha ha. That's a funny article. The first thing I thought of was a fighting move in the game God Hand. If you get a certain combo move, you put the enemy over your knee and spank the butt until you send her flying into the sky. If forget if it's just against female enemies or not.

Comparing Starlink to Skylanders makes me want to play it even more.

It's been a while for me listening to classical music. With Ives, I kept imagining a circa 1900 audience and what they would've thought of his modern "eccentricities". Must've seemed quite strange to them maybe? I think Stravinsky shocked audiences a little bit later in the next decade.
