I have one of the first SP models, back when the only colors were cobalt or silver. I really wanted one of the red ones, but I didn't want to wait, as I needed a handheld right now because I was going through gaming withdrawal while I was away at a three week law enforcement course. Oh, and you can save your 1up blogs to your hard drive in a couple of ways. If you have Chrome or Firefox, there's a "save page as" feature. That's how I backed up all 426 of my blogs.

Looking forward to the Tomb Raider reboot, but I probably won't buy it for a while. I won't start pulling in paychecks again until the end of April and I'll be playing catch-up with the bills for a bit.

Nice to make your acquaintance, Surf. I, too, love older RPGs. I was pretty late to the party with console gaming, so I'm still playing catch-up from the PS1 on. Let's just say that if the game industry tanked tomorrow, I'd be set for the next several years without having to buy another game.

One can be hooked and still find time for a lot of other pursuits. One of my youngest cousins is in the game design program at RIT and he still spends a ton of time doing other things - parkour, backpacking, kayaking, reading. And he's been hooked on gaming since he was three and I put a Genesis controller in his tiny hand.

Ben, I don't know about every teen boy. I went to school with a lot of jocks before gaming was popular. So not every jock's wet dream, lol.

Matt, even with its crude, rudimentary graphics, it was the shit back in the day. I compliment your uncle on his good taste! As for the Genesis, I still have it, it still works, and I still find games for it.
