I love that collection. WIsh They'd do another one. Activision made some of the best games for the Atari.

Sweet! I saw a tri-plane in the intro. I'll have to watch episode one over lunch today. Thanks!
I dug in deep with those instruction manuals. Thankfully they included them. I needed them.
Xevious was one of my favorite arcade games. I think what captivated me was the visuals and sound. Not many games looked as sharp or had sound that crisp in 1983.
I didn't know about the adaptive AI. I think I'll change my strategy of trying to shoot everything on screen and be more selective.
Just a correction i thought I'd mention: "Endoh designed the enemies that way since he figured that real fighter pilots would [wouldn't] want to just collide with the enemy if it could all be avoided."
Great review! The NES version of Taito's Sky Shark isn't great either. Also, glad you mentioned TwinBee, another favorite of mine.
I was getting so overwelmed with Just Cause 4 the last few days. The area is gigantic and there are so many points of interest. I finally got over it though and just started focusing on local objectives, doing them one after the other. It's crazy how huge and detailed these games are getting.
Yea, those shmups can be tough. I need that code.
There was so much more as I logged some good hours into it today. I was listening to them yell for help and cursing and all. I discovered I can then attach boosters to them and watch them fly around. Once, one of those guys attached to a balloon was also attached to an enemy car somehow. I watched the car take off and drag him along with it. The tether is so useful and amazing. There's no end to the wacky stuff you can do with it.
Yea, that thing. I forget what it was called in the instruction manual and in the achievement description, but it didn't look like it at all. I had to guess.
I got an Atari one Christmas, but I think the NES would've been really special.
I might have tried Lifeforce when I was exploring the NES back in the 90s. I don't know. It's weird, but I never thought of using the Konami code. Now I want to go back and use it.
These Thrift stores think they got gold with the stuff they get. I never paid more than a couple dollars for a Skylander when they were on sale at Gamestop. I'd walk away at $6.
