Next Gen: So Far, So Boring

Posted on 02/28/2013 at 08:03 AM | Filed Under Blogs

Casey, I hear you. I have to say that there are only a few games in the last couple of years that have gotten me super-excited. Every month, the Game Informer mag arrives, I flip though, and usually end up thinking "same old, same old". There's a new generation of hardware coming up, you'd think they'd come up with some new and exciting IPs for it!

Yeah, I once tried to keep a deer mouse that we caught in a Hav-a-Hart when I was younger. She wasn't very happy and just curled up in a corner and wouldn't eat, so we set her free. I have a feeling that may not be the kind of thing you were talking about, though.

Ad sense "reads" key words and then inserts an ad it thinks will be of interest to the reader. Kind of creepy, and I'd block them, except that the ads generate revenue for the site.

I am a firm believer in live and let live, even if they were nibbling on my cream cheese brownie! Glue traps are evil. Poison is even worse. Glue traps are just plain cruel, but poison gets into the food chain and can kill predators like owls and hawks that eat the mice. So we are Hav-A-Hart all the way at my current park. Andy says that the mice remind him of the mice in that board game Mousetrap.

Aw, man, I'm sorry to hear about your little guys. I'm very fond of mice, I had two females about 25 years ago named Ronnie and Nancy that I had to give away due to a living situation change, and in college, I had Darrell and Darrell, who did try to do one another in until I got a second cage. I got pretty fond of the Darrells, one of whom was incredibly tame. He outlived his brother by almost a year, and during that time, I never had to put the cover on his cage, he'd just go back and forth from the aquarium to the habitrail. He liked to have his Cheerio snacks while sitting in my hand, and naps in the hood of my sweatshirt.

Normandy sounds like another great little dude like Darrell 2. Thanks for telling us about him.

XBLA has Yar's Revenge. I don't know about PSN, though.

Jamie, please do repost. I'll be reposting some of mine, figure I'll call it Classic Rangergirl or something like that, and mix them in with new blogs.
