Yup, except this isn't a shooter. It really reminds me of a game that would've been done back in the GBA days.
Maybe, but there are a lot of other big game companies out there who make lots of mistakes, too, and they're still around.
My Halloween game is one I just reviewed: Mystik Belle!

I'd be a horrible candidate for these questions. I do watch some scary movies, but not many. I do like TV shows and movies about ghosts. Nothing too terribly gory, though.
I don't really play many scary video games either. Although it was hard for me to be scared about the first Fatal Frame game (yes I did play it), because your main character moved so slow it was like she just got out of bed or something. Honestly one of the scariest video games I've played was SiniStar. That arcade game scared the crap out of me as a kid!
I've been pretty lucky that nothing really scary has happened in my life. Not anything worth noting anyway. I've had some sad and rough times in my life, but not many scary moments. Maybe i'm just really brave! Yeah, we'll go with that. :)
As a kid, two of my favorite movies were Ghostbusters and Gremlins. Really more comedy than horror, but that's all I've got.
Bayonetta's a scary lady. I don't think I'd be a good fit for her. She does have her moments, though. One time at a video game convention, I was walking along and heard a CLOMP CLOMP CLOMP behind me. I turned around to see what it was. Turns out it was a lady cosplaying as Bayonetta and her gun shoes were making all that noise as she was walking! She couldn't sneak up on anyone! It was a very nice costume, though, if you know what I mean.
Like you said, when you match up the character with their vehicle, the vehicle in the game will change and power-up. I didn't say it last time, but when you put Bowser in his clown plane, it changes to look like an airship.
Donkey Kong wears a flashy suit as a Skylander because Nintendo gave them a lot of freedom when creating the Nintendo character Skylanders, so they made DK into a stuntman. Some of his special attacks include beating on bongos, blasting out of barrel cannons, and one special move he rips off his suit and just wears his tie, and has halves of barrels on his hands like boxing gloves as he attacks enemies.
His vehicle mimics a mine cart like in the DK games. When you put DK in it and power it up, the vehicle gains a barrel sidecar and Diddy Kong pops out of it for some extra cannon attacks.
That looks like a lot of fun!
Speaking of ballsy statements, I may make another one when I do my Game of the Year blog this year.
And there's a lot more than that, too. I just singled out the ones I like the best and are the most familar with.
Yeah the best dodge ball games I've played are Super Dodge Ball on the NES, Super Dodge Ball Advance on the GBA, Super Dodge Ball Brawlers on the DS, and Downtown Street Ddogeball on Xbox LIVE. There was a Super Dodge Ball game on NEO GEO that was also good, but you had to pull off fighting game motions on the controllers to do the special moves, and I wasn't as good at it because of that.
