MAR.10.13> CATCHING UP> SUPER CUTE> SER'S DAILY BIT

I concur with Ser. Rats are intelligent and affectionate and pretty easy to take care of. I had a friend who used to give her rat free range of the house and he would come when you whistled. And they come in a variety of coats and colors. Rex rats have curly hair, hooded rats are like Astrid and have hoods. One of the things I like best about them is they like to snuggle. And they're really clean, they constantly groom themselves.

Oh, Astrid's adorable! I love the white spot on her hood. Cute pictures of rodents give you a pass on a missed day of blogging, as far as I'm concerned.

I've had that happen a couple of times with games I've been looking everywhere for. I no sooner find it and then it's everywhere. I just wish I could find the games that seem to be missing from my collection...Seven Xbox games, five PS2 games, and I'm not sure how many Genesis carts. Hopefully, they've just been overlooked in a box I haven't unpacked yet...

Mixed Reviews: Final Fantasy XII

Nice review. I have this game and have yet to play it. I'm OCD and have to play the games in as close to numerical order as I can. Silly, I know, but I can't help it. 'veI only made it as far as V so far. Not being a FF fangirl serves me well, I think, because I have no sacred cows when it comes to this franchise. You made the game sound pretty interesting, lumps and all.

ME 3 - only a little bit?! Are you sure? Wink

I really loved the Xenosaga series as a whole. However, be aware that the second game is a serious disappointment after the first. The third one redeems it, though. And you've just reminded me that I need to go back and finish Dust.

I'm playing Uncharted, Ni No Kuni, FF III, and the usual suspects (Pinball FX2, Zen Pinball 2, My Aquarium, and various other puzzle games). I tried getting back into Wild Arms 2 last night, but still wasn't able to get past the part where I quit last time.

I am all for lead female characters not having annoying faux little girl voices. One reason why I couldn't get into Eternal Sonata was the incredibly grating voice of the female lead. As for Graces, I really liked it.

Thanks, Wayde. This one took a lot of research on my part, as I wasn't very familiar with a lot of the singers. And yeah, Hedy West blew me away. I've had 500 Miles stuck in my head for days.

Saw that you were playing it yesterday and wondered about how it was. I like instant gratification!

Damsel in Distress: Part 1 - Tropes vs Women in Video Games

I watched one of her  other videos a couple of years ago. Her tune and message really don't change from video to video. And there are plenty of good games out there with good female role models. Dreamfall, The Longest Journey, Syberia, Beyond Good and Evil to name just the few that popped into my head in about a minute. She'd impress me more if she attacked those hideous Twilight books.

Damsel in Distress: Part 1 - Tropes vs Women in Video Games

I didn't watch the video, I've seen it, or one similar to it before. I think rather than spend 23 minutes going on and on about something, she should use the money and make a game that shows the change she wants to see in the industry. Shrug. I work in a male-dominated field, and the only way you get respect is by earning it. You earn the respect, you can start causing the positive change bit by bit. And why isn't she bitching about Disney? There's a reason Mulan is one of my favorite Disney movies, lol.
