While I was happy with Smash Bros. Ultimate, I don't think Nintendo "won" E3 like they usually do for me. You'll have to wait until my articles next week to find out what my favorite things at E3 were. Care to take a guess?
The arcade game in DK64 always surprised me.
Have you ever played Donkey Kong on Game Boy?
I met with My Arcade at E3.
While I'm very happy with Smash Bros. Ultimate and the new Pokemon games look interesting, I'm rather disappointed with Nintendo's showing at this year's E3. But you can read all about it in my E3 articles next week!
I'm pretty happy with what we got in Ultimate. I sitll got my Pac-Man, Mega Man, and Kirby, so I'm happy.
All great picks. Not sure I'd buy them again full price, but some I might.
I've never heard of Discord. I'm getting old, it's hard to keep up.
I love the 3DS, but I can't think of too many games I'd replay on the Switch. Maybe Samus Returns, or Link Between Worlds. A multiplayer Zelda title like Tri-Force Heroes would be neat, if only I had more people around to play it with. The two main 3DS Kirby games are certainly better than Star Allies, but I still liked Star Allies a lot. I think I may be the only person who did not like Kid Icarus: Uprising, though.
I'm not a big fan of Wii U ports to Switch most of the time. Like, I loved Captain Toad, but I'm not buying the same game again full price for a couple of new Odyssey levels. Just make a sequel, Nintendo. But even some of their sequels feel like enhanced ports, like Splatoon 2.
But some of the ports I am a little conflicted on. Like Hyrule Warriors. All the DLC content in the Switch version looks neat, but I only enjoyed playing that game on Wii U with a second player, and I don't have as much opportunity to do that anymore, so I probably won't get it a second time.
Also, even though most people are saying the new Smash game isn't a port, I honestly wouldn't mind if it was, just with all the DLC. I never did get the DLC in the Wii U version because that adds up moneywise and I just didn't have time to play it all then.
Totally down on Fatal Frame, as long as they make a physical copy. That's why I didn't get it on Wii U because it was a memory hog and the US was the only region that didn't get a physical version.
But Star Fox Zero? Yeah...no. I never want to see that game again. That was one of Nintendo's worst games they've ever made, right alongside Donkey Kong Barrel Blast.
