I went to work after being out sick for the past two days. My co-workers sent me home again (pointing at the door and chanting "unclean"), so it's been another day of watching NCIS and snoozing on the couch with the pets. At least Jason came over to keep me company.
Given the weather in northern New England this summer, forest fires aren't really something we have to worry about all that much at the moment. And we have a completely different ecosystem than that of the Colorado forests.
I was hesitant to install it myself, lol.
Love the thrift shop mother lodes! I got two Dreamcasts for the price of one because one ($20) of them was missing the RF cable, and there was a game in each system, which I found when I got them home. I also found a working Game Gear with a case and four games ($10), and an N64 with all the cables and two controllers ($10). I don't have nearly that kind of luck with games at the thrift stores, for games, I stick to Bull Moose Music and The Monster Box. There's a little independant place two towns north that looks intriguing, too, that I will have to check out someday soon.
For some odd reason, the multitude of enemies hasn't annoyed me nearly as much as the ones in Uncharted did. And I like how once you've cleared 'em out, you can go back and explore to your hearts content.
Aegis WIng is fun, and FREE! Simple design, and not easy to survive. But it's fun.
Wait on Mountain Crime, it's not worth the $15. I think Red Johnson's Chronicles is cheaper, and kind of the same idea. Machinarium is another good point-and-click. Actually, I'm working on a point-and-click adventure game blog entry. It may be a while before I actually get it up, though. Been dealing with the summer cold from hell for the last couple of days. Took TWO sick days off in a row, and I'm feeling bad about it because I was supposed to be the closer for the last two nights. I have no idea who filled in for me, I suspect Michael has done split shifts for the past two days to cover both ends of the day. I have awesome co-workers!

It's sad when the consumers have to be the watchdog for evil industry practices. However, M$ is learning some very hard, very valuable lessons from its arrogance. May they stay humbled. And this coming from someone whose fave console this gen is the 360.
One of my early friends on 1up used to do stand up. He was pretty good. I hope Paul kept up with it. I don't think I would be any good at stand up, but I'm keeping notes for my future book about all the absurdities that park rangers deal with on a daily basis. I have amused friends with excerpts, so maybe it'll sell. I dunno, I won't be able to publish until after I've safely retired, though.
Bummer.
I'm not a Plus member. I have my reasons. So no freebie tables for me there. Nice thing about Live, when the game's free, it stays free, even if you're no longer a Gold member, unlike Plus.
I think you're right to hold off until the end of summer, the price should come down a lot by then, too. It's a fun game, but I don't know if it's a great game. It has its share of issues, like the QTEs, but I'm enjoying it.
