Is there any way you can rent it first? I know you're on a budget and I'd hate for you to buy it and go "Oh, yuck!"
The demo was horrible, and if I'd just gone by that, I never would have bought the game. Glad I did, though.
The only game that I've played out of these is Ni No Kuni. I think my favorite game so far this year may be Tomb Raider, but I really haven't played all that many games released in 2013.
I have both. If you're more in an action mood than a turn-based mood, go with Rogue Galaxy. However, I think DQ VIII is a much better game than RG overall.

I like shooting and blowing up heavily pixellated cities. Not so into it when they look more real.
I agree with you whole-heartedly, Wayde. I think we really don't appreciate it until we've lived elsewhere. I lived in Norway, where did you live in Europe?
