I fell behind too often as well. It's much easier watching the episodes backtoback at least the first few seasons.
I think The Flash is actually very similar to Supernatural in many ways. The chemistry between all the characters is great, they seem to all actually care about each other. It can get serious at times and I think the lead actors are versatile enough to be funny and serious. They both revolve around searching for their lost fathers and solving the mysterious death and vengeance of their mothers. Monster of the week. Great production value. I like the Flash a lot.
Goddamit! Now I can't wait to get through Season 5. I also know that the original creator left after season 5, so I'm interested in seeing how drastic, if any, the changes were to the show after that.
It has a pretty large loyal fanbase thats kept it alive for years. Unlike other CW type shows, this is the least soap opera drama than the rest. The visual effects are quite good, even after all these years. I also think the main two actors are really believable. There is also a sense of humor and fun, unlike most CW dramas that are way too serious. I think even the superhero DC shows could lighten the mood more by adding a bit more fun too them, not so serious all the time.
There are plenty of F2P games on PS4 and Steam. If you're on PC, you cant try fun variety of free quirky game on itch.io. I've gone back to play threw older games as well when I can't play the newest thing.
I have a lot of seasons to catch up on, so it will be a while before I get to the current one. I'm only about half way through the first season 12 out of 22 I think but the relationship between Sam and Dean has enough chemistry and I like the Mulder&Scully thing they have going. Also, the cinematogrphy is just gorgeous. The darkness gives it nightmarish feel. The monsters are really creepy, and the suspense is riveting. Yeah, I honestly feel like this might be one of my favorite shows of all time. Like the top 5 or 10 shows. It's like baby X-Files, but also a buddy road trip. Very creative stories with different monster/creatures etc. So good! Love it! Love it! Love it!
It's free to play. I haven't dropped any money on it. Just casually play at times.
One of my biggest regrets is I stopped buying PS2 games when PS3 offered digital versions in their digital store, thinking I would eventually buy all the games I wanted at cheaper prices and not worry about storage. Well, I like playing obscure japanese and survival horror games which haven't really been released digitally and now are ridiculously expensive. The games I own now, I will never sell and cherish them even more now. I know I could emulate them on PC, which I have, but it's not the same to me as having the physical copy on the original system. I own Silent Hill HD collection on PS3, but playing original on PS2 just feels better. I also threw away a large CRT TV thinking it took too much room in my house and my HDTV had necessary video connections for older game systems, but old games just look better on old monitors but then there is the space issue again.
I've been a life long Nintendo fan and I absolutely loved the WiiU, although I know it had a weak library, I still loved the poratability of the tablet and I'm glad we're getting a slightly better tablet now. I might be skipping out on this system and waiting until Christmas or next year simply because I really only see myself playing Zelda and Mario which I refuse to buy a new system for that has a history of terrible support with things like the eshop and 1st and 3rd party games. I might just get new Zelda on WiiU and hold off for a year so they build a better library. I'm really behind on PS4 games and 3DS games and Switch will just go into a pile with my backlog of games. Maybe a new Metroid or exclusive might make it more appealing, but at the moment I just see ported games and nicer looking versions of the same games. I really don't see the innovation in this hardware from previous gen and I also just don't see that something 'NEW' that I must have like when Mario and Zelda went 3D or Zelda went cell shaded. Interestingly, my younger bro has never been into videogames at all except for star wars games so he missed out on PS3, PS4, XBox360, XB1, but is really excited for Breath of Wild and the Switch for some reason? I don't know what this means? He doesn't even play games on his phone or care for portables, but he really wants this? Very strange.
