I took a good whack at it before dying on my first try with the spider. It was a good day. F U giant spider.
I would love to collect games. Too bad I'm poor. Even if I had money, game collecting would make me poor. I'm looking forward to E3 and the PS4. Now that sony got the specs out of the way, they can just focus on games.
Capcom is so bad. You and I are fanboys of this great game, so if we aren't willing to re-buy the whole game again, who is the game meant for? I will wait for a major price drop of Dark Arisen, but for $40, really capcom, I have a huge list of back log games I want to buy and Dark Arisen is not one of them. Now go ahead and blame foreigners for poor design all you want, this is poor sales design and it's all on you Capcom.
I got Fire Emblem used for $35 at gamestop and also got a discount with a membership card so it was kind of a bargain really. It is a worthy full on game that I play a lot so I would say it's worth it's original price. You should try out the demo first. The game is like the demo just with more maps and characters.
Soul Hackers? There's a game that sounds like throwing against a wall. Maybe later.
I don't think that enemy armies show up half way through the battle to attack you from behind in FFT. That was a surprise in FEA. I'm moving forward with my weak characters in the back when an enemy army shows up from behind. Now I have enemies on two fronts, and my weak squishies are in the back of course.
"Not my style."
The game is a bit different from typical tactics games. There is no bonus for attacking from the side or from behind an enemy. There is no bonus for using terrain, or the terrain doesn't make use of high or low ground. It's really a lot like checkers in theory but like chess in practice. One wrong move and "checkmate". I'm about half way through and plan on finishing it. Partnering up and studying the enemy weapons and surveying the map before battle helps a lot. It's a good game really, just not one I'm used to.
The Killer Within looks great. It was an unexpected announcement, but it made me happy. I have to check my mailbox for GI magazine. I'm interested in the handheld version of Batman. I always liked the old school 2D batmans.
Spec Ops was a solid good game. I'm holding out on reviews for Premonition since I already own a 360 copy.
Navy? Hard life decisions. Seeing all the battle ships is always my favorite part of visiting San Diego. I guess being on a ship for a long time isn't so glamorous.
