I beat it like a year ago. I actually don't remember the ending, which is why I started a new game this time. Oh, yeah, now I remember. Yeah, that was pretty sad.
I do have the Castlevania Collection. I also just bought the Contra Collection for $10 on sale. I know they're hard, but retro, you know, I can't resist.

The world is super interesting. I guess, steampunk? It's like The Order 1886 a bit. It's definitely 19th century with some weird tech and magic.
A very beautiful game though. I'd like to turn it into a walking simulator with a mystery to solve.
That Switch version does sound definitive.
That freemium wall is what ended my Gems of War career. I desperately want to play a Puzzle Quest style game though so I keep thinking about playing it again.
