E3 is sort of open to the public now. They sell very limited public passes. I don't think E3 should be open to the public at all. That's what PAX is for.
Speaking of which, I just got my PAX West press approval! Yay! Now to request time off from work. That may prove to be more challenging!
One other update. So far, I'm not liking Cadence of Hyrule AT ALL! Way too hard. I'm just not 'getting' it I guess.
The Collection of Mana and Trials of Mana announcements were some of my favorite things from E3. Right after I heard about those announcements, I immediately emailed my Square PR contact and requested a review code for Collection of Mana. Not sure I'll get it, but I had to try anyway! I did some research and found out there is going to be a physical copy of the collection, but it doesn't come out until the end of August. But I reserved it just in case. It's the same price as digital, so even though I want to play the third game NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW, I'll just be patient and wait.
Am I weird for being more interested in Link's Awakening than this?
This year's Nintendo E3 Direct was so jam packed full of stuff I'm definitely going to be writing a blog about it. Expect it in the next couple of days.
I'm looking forward to Nintendo's showings tomorrow. Hope Animal Crossing doesn't get delayed. Not sure if I'll write an E3 blog or not. I do have some notes jotted down for one, so maybe I will. Right now I'm probably the only one who is excited for an announced game from XSEED: Burgertime Party.
Yeah it was kind of cool that they went with old school models and such. But that larva form of Godzilla at the beginning just looked awful.
I remember Castlevania being super popular when I was a kid. Everyone I knew had it. I never really got into it, though. The only Castlevania game I liked was Kid Dracula.
My friend rented Castlevania 2 back in the day and beat it! I remember because I saw the ending with him. I didn't really play it much, but I had fun watching him play it.
When I did play Castlevania 2 many years later by myself, I didn't like how many opportunities enemies had to knock you into insta-death pits. No thanks.
I liked pretty much all of Twisted Pixel's games back on the 360. They just had a lot of personality.
Toho made a new Godzilla movie themselves a couple of years ago. I don't think it had much CG in it so you might like that one. Although I think they tried to make it more of a political movie like the original, but it also made the movie more boring.
