Congrats on finishing SMT IV! I hate having games just hang over my head. I'm going to start some new games in the new year too, and hopefully finish some ones that have been long overdue for a playthrough. Mass Effect 3 is first on my list.

And here's another game I have but haven't played lol. I bought Shin Megami Tensei IV (and actually played it) and decided to grab this for the $30 eShop credit. I always found Fire Emblem intimidating because of the permadeath but I do plan on playing this one...eventually.
We picked this up as soon as the price dropped but neither me nor my wife has played it yet. I'm amazed at all the bad press it got when it came out because all the real people I've talked to about it have really liked it.
I've only played the original Devil May Cry (though the third one is sitting in my backlog) but I've wanted to play this new one. It's coming to PS+ next month, so I'm pretty excited to try it. And yes, I love short games now. Give me 10 hours of concentrated awesome and I'm happy.
I'm going to try to do a list like this if I have time but it will be pulled from the games I played this year, and a lot of those didn't actually come out this year lol
There are some crazy control options available, let me tell you! You can use GameCube controllers but we sold our Wii when we got a Wii U, so that wasn't an option for us But you can just turn the remote sideways, like an NES controller, and then you just have to shake the remote to throw grenades and that actually works really well. And all the games are in free play mode anyway, so it's not like it matters that much lol
Awesome. I bet she'll be talking about it for years to come
My older brother built an entire Tyranid army (very similar to the Zerg in StarCraft) but never really had anyone to have a proper battle against. I had aspirations of an Eldar force to challenge him with (I even bought the two Eldar codices) but I never got too far. Aside from the expense of buying all the models, I'm really terrible at painting those things lol
I played Lords of Shadow about a year and a half ago and have some definite opinions about it but I'll save those for the second podcast
I was way underleveled when I got to Lucifer (funny how you, James, and me all ended up on the Law path). I had to grind in the palace for awhile, which is a good place to do that at least. I gained at leat 10 levels and fused a bunch of better demons. I don't remember what my final level was, though, and it's too much work to dig out the game to find out lol.
Ugh, ticks. That's lousy news. I'm glad you caught it so early. Hopefully you'll be completely better soon.
I have Space Marine on the PS3. It was a free PS+ game not long after I joined. Still haven't played it lol. I like the Warhammer 40k universe but I wish they wouldn't focus so much on the Space Marines. I always thought the Eldar were really cool.
