Thanks for the comments. I don't mind the game being delayed to Feb. I have enough of a backlog already and will probably be playing Realm Reborn and X and X-2 HD anyhow. I really enjoyed the second game and I want to finish out the series with 3.

There are plans to release more characters in the future. Although Dr. Strange is an NPC in the game so I'm not sure about him?
So are we all going to visit each others villages? I'm planning on getting New Leaf as well. Not sure if I'm going Download or Cartridge yet?

I played Spec Ops the line thinking it was just a mindless shooter to waste up my free time, but was surprised with the story elements and would step away thinking about the politics and perspectives that soldiers might face. Not in a deep sort of way, but in some sort of way nonetheless. Also playing Heavy Rain and having everyone die and the bad guy get away pissed me off--most games have the good guy always win, but in real life they don't always.
When I started playing the game there was no community, so I had to do it old school and play without help from the internet, what is this the 90s? But now there is a lively community on the dev site with tips and builds on how to take advantage of the games systems. As usual with these types of ARPGs you character build is crucial and you will realize your mistakes at the end of the game and then need to restart with a new character or respec. It's old school in that way. For melee, I used basic melee, or electric swords and for secondary I used flames and for end game leveled up Ice. Also used weapons with high DPS (Damage per second) stats.
And the case with this game is that if you average out all the scores including bad ones it still comes out to a 9.0--as if even this means anything. I read a few articles about how the game repurposes the use of violence in games and that it sets a precedent for the next generation. It's like video games are growing up finally with this game. Adam Sessler influenced my opinion, not on a review score which was 5/5, but the discussion about the games use of violence.
I'm interested in seeing gameplay for Tearaway from Media Molecule, and the new Killzone game for VITA, Beyond: Two Souls from Quantic Dream as well.
Game of Thrones, holy hell what the fuck was that all about?
Use solo for solo mode, and use multiplayer for multiplayer mode. I chose a melee character so I just leveled up the electric, fire and ice skills. If you are going ranged then just level up ranged skills and dont try to balance melee and range, bad idea.
I haven't heard of Grim Dawn before. Van Helsing seems similar to Path of Exile which I haven't played either. I read a bunch of good reviews that popped up when Van Helsing released and that convinced me to buy it. The reviews were right.
Warning on Van Helsing. You should be able to take your solo character into multiplayer if the game gets too hard, but after the latest patch the developers advised not to do that due to game errors. So you should only use your Multiplayer character with multiplayer mode. There were moments near the end of the game when I would teleport to a new area and I would be shot and killed before taking a single step into the new area. Maybe I was playing a pre-patched version, but it was very frustrating. I'm still not sure how I beat the damned game.
