Well, I'm safe from spending money I don't have - no 3DS to play this one on.

I can't remember if it's Hubert of Malik that I couldn't beat. I really should go back and finish that game!

It depends on the bakery that made them, Nick.

OOH! Those are my two favorite kinds of Girlscout cookies!

I think I may finally get around to Masss Effect after I finish Tales of Xillia. Maybe. I say this now, but it all depends on what kind of mood I'm in when I'm ready to start a new game.

Hotel Dusk is one of my favorite DS games. It makes good use of many of the DS' features to solve the puzzles. Just be aware that it's probably more of a visual novel than a game. I liked it well enough that I imported the sequel from England.

Guess What I got in the Mail today?

That's pretty cool.

BaD Weather

Wimp. We're having a heat wave here, it made it to 24 today. I'm actually fine with the cold, it's heat I can't deal with.

Gald you're enjoying Tomb Raider. I really liked it, regardless of how Blake feels.

Video Games of My Life: Part Two - 1977-1979

I remember standing in line forever to get to see Star Wars and the doors closing because the theater was full just as we got to them. I got to see it a few days later, though.

We were poor and lived in the boonies, so not much arcade action or Atari for me. The one thing I wanted for my tenth birthday in 1979 was Simon, which I thought was one of the coolest things around. However, it cost $40, which was more than my single mom could afford. Enter the new, incredibly cool guy she was dating (who would later become my step-dad and would remain incredibly cool), who bought it for me. Looking back now, it really wasn't all that, but it was a big deal then.

I have no idea if this has been done anywhere else, but yeah, I think we should number them.

Some people just look for reasons to be offended. You should know that by now.

The "Winter" Games (BaD #04)

Posted on 02/07/2014 at 02:26 PM | Filed Under Blogs

The coverage of the Olympics in the US is terrible, which is too bad, because I used to really like watching a lot of the winter events. Ski jumping, slalom, downhill, bobsled, and luge are few of my favorites. I just get so annoyed with the coverage that it's not fun any more. And the politics are definitely a turn-off, too.

There are certain types of games that I like to play in the winter. RPGs for some reason, maybe because they're the kinds of games that you can spend a snowy, stormy winter day playing and drinking hot cocoa and feeling snug and warm.
