I never got the Wii game. I feel kind of bad about it since my brother likes Punch Out so much. But I can't get them all!

Taito makes a lot of cool games. They have as much interesting history behind them as Nintendo and Namco do. I also really like their in-house band that does most of the music in their games: Zuntata.
I was never a big Punch Out fan, but I did rent this one once to see what it was like. My brother Jeff LOVES the Punch Out games, though.
Those Sonic racing games are really good. I usually play as Ulala or Tails. And I reviewed that goose game!

Bust-A-Move is one of my top three favorite puzzle games, right on up there with plain old Tetris and Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo. Although I hate the name "Bust-A-Move." I wish they kept the name from the overseas release, which was Puzzle Bobble. That name just makes more sense!
Anyway, I mostly played it in the arcade back then, but I did rent it on the SNES. I would've owned it on the SNES, but I didn't have as much money back then. Since now I have a bit more money to spend, I usually get any version of the game that comes out now, and have been since the Dreamcast and NEO GEO Pocket days.
I wonder if Taito wishes they would've had a more strict copyright patent on that game since now everyone copies it on mobile devices. And speaking of Peanuts games from your last blog, one of those was called Snoopy Pop:

But Taito still makes Bust-A-Move games and their last one was for mobile devices as well. It's called Bust-A-Move Journey.

There have been a lot of Peanuts games. When the computer animated Peanuts movie came out a couple of years ago, I reviewed a game based on it:

Also, there have been a few mobile games, and an Atari 2600 game based on Snoopy and the Red Baron.
Speaking of which, my favorite Peanuts game was a PS2 game called Snoopy vs. the Red Baron. it was like an arcade flight sim for kids, but it was really fun and adorable.
I played Xenogears back in the day and about halfway through I had to sit through an hour of text, then fight a battle, and then sit through another hour of text. I stopped playing after that. I almost lost all faith in Square after that, but then they brought out Brave Fencer Musashi so I was happy again.
When my friend imported Namco X Capcom and we'd play it, we'd make KOS-MOS sit in a corner and not play with everyone else. We were not nice to KOS-MOS.
That Chun-Li figure looks cool. What other characters did they have?
Oh man, you're gonna hate me. So back when I was first trying out to write for The Dallas Morning News, I had to write two game reviews. One for a game I liked, and one for a game I didn't like. Since I was big into 16-bit RPGs at the time, the game I chose to write about that I liked was Final Fantasy 6. The game I chose to write about that I didn't like...was Earthbound.
At the time I felt the battle system was a bit dated and took a few steps back from FF6. And while I liked the weird story, it was so nonsensical that sometimes it was hard to tell where to go next. The game came with a strategy guide back then for a reason.
If I had the time, I would love to give this game a second chance, though. I will say one thing good about Earthbound. Games like Earthbound and Super Mario RPG really brought good game translation to the forefront and paved the way for the future of translating text in games better.
I have the first Dragon Quest Builders game. It's pretty neat, but I didn't feel compelled to get the sequel. My brother Jeff really liked the first game, though. But then, he loved Dragon Quest Monsters as a kid and played a lot of Minecraft as a teen. My favorite Dragon Quest game is Rocket Slime on the DS. Have you ever played that one?
