Bow Down - Populous

I love the idea of the "god game" but I'm not sure if I've really every played one. I remember wanting to play Spore but it was on PC. I have a Wii version of that, Spore Hero, I still haven't played. I also have this game Reus on my Xbox right now I still haven't got to.

Doom Eternal: I don't like it

I've been watching my friend play this for a while now, and since it's now on Game Pass, I will play it this weekend.

I noticed the design by multiplayer in Borderlands 3 just like you said for Doom Eternal. Every battle area feels like an arena and you are never able to use cover because the nature of an arena means you will be constantly outflanked. I don't like that.

I loved the story in Doom 2016, surprisingly, because I don't care much to know the story in Doom games. I hope I get into this one's story, despite it leaving an unexplained gap.

I noticed my friend having to unlock unlimited ammo for weapons, or some such thing. Eventually he was playing the game as if on god mode and having a lot of fun with it. I also noticed some platforming stuff, which I generally don't like. I hope that's not too annoying - platforming in a Doom game, what's the world comign to. Ha ha.

Good to hear from you. I started having a few issues at 47 like needing reading glasses. My Dr. said that's when he started needing them too.

I don't like that MS dumbed down the discless XBS. It's essential to me to have the best hardware inside. As for storage, I'm am constantly filling up my 1TB drive on my Xbox One. I'm considering an external drive, but I'm beginning to not mind just redownloading games whenever I need them. I can usually do it through my phone at home and they'll be installed on my XBO when I get to my friend's place on the weekend. I'm used to it now. I wonder, though, how much wear and tear that has on the hard drive.

I watched my friend play this a ton. I remember wanting top play it and inFamous at the time, but I didn't get to either of them.

Physical Purchases. Remember Those?

I feel weird buying digital unless a game is really, really cheap. I just don't feel that digital copies are really copies I own, so they should be cheaper. But I don't need to own a lot of games anyway right now. I'd like to pair down my physical collection to only my very favorite games.

I think that day, I was just hungry to buy something. I'd been to several Gamestops and couldn't find the one game I wanted, so I took advantage of the sale just to have something. Now I'm wondering. How do I put these things in my Xbox to make them play?

I remember the idea presented at the beginning of the internet age. They said there would be no more need for paper printouts of anything. Apparently, people print more paper documents than ever. It's seems to have increased its use. They also said all business would be done by video conference calls. Turns out, people want to make important deals in person. Also, travel. They said vitual video of holiday spots would reduce travel. It's done the opposite. Go figure.

But games could go the way music has, where it's mostly digital now except for those into retro vinyl and premium CD box sets. I never buy digital music though. It takes the whole fun out of it for me. Games though. I like digital so I can try out stuff, but when I really love a game, I want a copy for my library.

I was just asking a Gamestop salesman if Journey to the Savage Planet has a physical version because I think it might end up being my GotY for 2020. It does, and came out six months after the digital version I've been playing. I'm hoping it wins my personal GotY because I want to own the disc.

I feel like people must be divided on this issue because both MS and Sony are putting out two consoles, one with disc drive, the other not.

For me, I've really gotten into digital games, but I've decided to keep, or get, physical copies of the GotY games for my library.

Yeah, you're right. The one I have plays just fine (that's the plain one and it reminds me of Sega Master System game box art. I'm going to have to dig a little deeper, but these two were the only things that came up in searches on ebay for that game.

I remember turning my nose up at MMOs when Warcraft went MMO. I kind of want to find one I like now. I've tried a few but none have stuck.
