Wii Can Turn It Around! U Can Help!

Posted on 08/02/2013 at 10:16 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I read the word "Skyrim"  mentioned regarding an open world approach to games like Lightning Returns and the new "Realisitc" Zelda game for WiiU. If Nintendo took existing franchises and just implemented these sort of ideas like "sandbox" and "open world" then maybe Nintendo can attract hard core gamers instead on just relying on mascots. Nintendo makes really awesome 2D games, and since they are popular again on phones/tablets/indie, they should give us more 2D style games and continue the legacy. Rayman is going to be so awesome!

Sony's Playstation Mistakes

I think I was mainly interested in Nintendo DS/GBA and PSP games during 360/PS3 launch to care about them. I still think GBA/DS/PSP has a better game selection now than the consoles, for my tastes anyway. The main reason I bought into PS3 was for the Blu-ray player and I have an extensive blu-ray library. I also have netflix, but I still like owning physical media. The Uncharted and God of War series were great, as was Infamous and so on. Add Demon Souls, 3D Dot game heroes, Valkyria Chronicles and this was easily my favorite console this gen. Oh, and the PSOne classics are so good!Cool

Microsoft's Xbox Mistakes

True. They did seem to suddenly show goofy pics after everyone complained about the dark tone to the demo/trailer. Even MS games are suspect now. It's like MS is the Dark Souls of new game consoles, must be very careful to protect our souls/wallets. Shields up everybody! Tread slowly!

Microsoft's Xbox Mistakes

Xbox360 was the last console I bought this gen, before WiiU, and I haven't really played many of it's games. I really only was interested in games like Lost Odyssey, Deadly Premonition and indie games like Fez. I was never big on Halo or CoD, but I do like BF3 for on PC for some wierd reason. Even now the XboxOne games that stands out to me is Dead Rising 3 and Ryse, because I like zombie and greek/roman theme games. I enjoy RPGs on DS/PSP/PSOne/PC and I feel like Xbox brand and marketing has never really effectively reached out to my taste in games that much. I read recently that Microsoft is planning an event to "rebrand" and possibly announce a cheaper model of XBOXOne in November. Gee, they sure seem to be followers now and not leaders. I'm not hating on XBOX at all. I'm neutral on hardware, and I'll eventually buy into a MS system, but after everything that's happened I'm just gonna stick with my 3DS/PS4 combo for now. DR3 looks so damned good though. I must resisit! I must resist! I must...! I...! ...!

No, Curse You Dark Souls!

I haven't killed Hydra yet. It's next on my hit list. LOL! I was referring to the curse effect from the basilisks(Giant eyed frog things) in the sewers where the butchers are - The Depths behind Lower Undead Burg. In Darkroot I only killed the Butterfly boss, tree dudes and weird frog/sting rays.

Looking at these journal entries, it looks like I still have a way to go. I'm barely preparing for Blighttown.
