I never played KH II so this one really interests me. I always wanted to play Birth by Sleep as well. This looks like it will be a great collection.
I'm actually leaving in the morning to do something traveling. My flights aren't near as long as yours but I'll still have plenty of down time. I'm taking my 3DS and not my Vita because the Vita is just so dang nice (not to mention expensive) that I'm afraid I'd lose or damage it during the trip. Of course, traveling with a not-quite-two-year-old, I'm not sure how many chances I'll get to play something lol.
We played a good bit of LBP and certainly enjoyed it but it never really grabbed me. Of course, we never really dabbled in all the user-generated content either.
I think that SMB3 and SMW are pretty different, with the former focusing on faster action and smaller levels and the latter slowing the pace a little and adding more exploration and secrets. Both are fantastic but I think they're doing slightly different things. I love the idea someone made in the podcast (don't remember who; Julian maybe?) of Nintendo doing a Link Between Worlds-style follow up to SMW or Super Metroid, a sequel that plays on our nostalgia while pushing the series forward.
A quick check at IMDB shows that I've never seen a movie with Jason Statham in the starring role. I've seen The One and The Italian Job but none of the Transporters or Crank or anything. Perhaps I should fix that...?
I'm not sure what to expect from E3. I'm always interested to see what Nintendo has, of course, but it's been a while since I've been truly excited. A new Metroid game would do it for me though.
I've heard lots of good things about The New Order, especially the characters and story. I will play it one day!
You have to have an actual Gold membership to get the free games. A free trial doesn't cut it (much to my annoyance).
There is a run button lol. Stasis, which lets you briefly slow down an enemy, is integral later on. Helps give it some more identity too. And at least ammo isn't in very short supply.
The combat in Dead Space is definitely different thanks to its emphasis on dismembering the necromorphs but you get used to it. I really love the atmosphere and story though.
