Armored Warriors was great. It's amazing how a new coat of paint can make the same old genre seem fresh. Capcom's sprite art is always great.

Yup, and I'm working on reviewing a new beat 'em up right now! Can you guess what it is? I'll give you a hint: it's a sequel to one of the best games on the Genesis, and it hasn't ha a sequel in more than 20 years! Can you guess my favorite character in it, too?
I think both Capcom and Konami have beat 'em ups that have aged well and some that haven't. For instance, when I got TMNT on Xbox LIVE on my 360, I didn't feel it had aged as well as I remembered it. But when I got The Simpsons on Xbox LIVE, it was a lot better than what I remembered it being.
I think the game is more fun to watch than to play. My brother had the sequel on the SNES. I like the cartoon a lot, too.
I got Cosmic Star Heroine on Switch on sale for 2 bucks! I read about how you were playing it and decided to get it since it was so cheap.
I got a bunch of other games on sale this month, too! Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle, three Konami collections, and the PS4 Taiko game for less than ten bucks each almost! I'll be writing blogs about each of those collections, with the first one going up later today.
I reviewed Ninja Saviors a while back.
That's cool that you made that! I could never do that!
When I was in college, I had MAME arcade emulators, as well as NES and Genesis ones. But I took them off my computer soon after that because I was afraid I'd spend too much time playing all those classic games instead of studying! I really haven't messed with emulation like that since. Well, except for game collections you can buy.
For some reason, Thunder Force III didn't really stick out in my mind on the Genesis Mini. I think the graphics were a bit garish, but that's about all I can remember. I liked that Darius was on the Gensis Mini. That was a pretty impressive port! You know what shooter I wish were on the Genesis Mini? Gaiares. Man that one was good!
The only football game I played a significant amount of was NES Play Action Football at my friend's house. I had no idea what I was doing but my friend was very patient with me. Football rules still elude me. Too much going on. I remember seeing Tecmo Bowl a lot in arcades because it was a very wide cabinet that was two screens long!
The music isn't quite as cool as in Arkanoid DS (but it's not bad either), and it's a neat modern take on the classic game.
It's been a long time since I've played Arkanoid DS, but I seem to remember the main mode having a map where you can choose your path in a pyramid setup, similar to how other Taito games work. Glad you think the music is cool, though. Hope you keep playing to hear more of it!
Guess what? I know you like sales, so I wanted to let you know that Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is free on PS4 and Xbox until May 10. There's a link to how it works on my Facebook page.
And speaking of sales, today on PS4 I got a bunch of games on sale! The PS4 Taiko game was only 15 bucks, and Capcom Beat Em Up Bundle and the Konami Collections were ten bucks each, so I got them all! Five games for under 60 bucks isn't bad! I'll be writing about those collections in my blogs in the coming weeks!
