Been watching The Shield and a Welsh series called Hinterland.

Been reading lots lately. Reread The Blue Sword, and I'm working my way through Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series. I'm up to book six, I think. Also been doing lots of research for a couple of nature programs I've been working on.

Soup. Eating lots of chowders, soups, and stews, because it's fall in New England and it hasn't gotten about 60 for the past couple of days.

It's been a hectic summer - my boss has taken a lot of time off this summer, which puts me in charge. Plus, it's been our busiest season ever and we lost one of our interns early, and she was the one who helped out the most on the maintenance end of things.

Yes, Wizardry is a very unforgiving game. But oh so addictive. Is the fourth floor the one with all the pits? Or was that six? I really need to get my act together and organize the cottage so I have a space to set up my old TV and my YOBO so I can play Wizardry again.

There are only eight item slots and you had to have the bishop ID the item in slot nine. Boom! infinite XP! The headmaster at our high school told us about that one.

Loved that game! Saved and scraped forever to save up the $70 to buy it and then had to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery. The UPS guy was scared of me by the time the game finally arrived. I had the IBM, er, PC, version of the game and missed out on the unlimited XP bug. And Bishops were the powered-up version of priests and weren't accessible at the beginning of the game. Bishop, Samurai, Ninja, and Lord were the four upper level classes. Somewhere I still have all my maps, along with the original game in its original box with the spell book.

OK, Cary - the tree guy was Groot, the Raccoon was Rocket, the girl was Gamora, the guy with the red markings on his skin was Drax, and the last guy was Peter aka Starlord. 

Jason and I went last Tuesday to see Guardians of the Galaxy and took our young friend Lewis who is visiting from England. We all really liked it.

Also saw How to Train Your Dragon 2, which was good, but not as good as the first movie. It was a lot darker in tone.

According to Jason, who hasn't thought much of any of the recent Planet of the Apes movies, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was excellent. He went without me, so I can't say one way or the other, though. He does tend to be more critical than I am, so take that as you will.

Tomb Raider. Then you will inspire me to go back and finish it myself.

Way too busy at work lately. Maybe when things quiet down. Last month we gave nature programs to 830 school kids in addition to our regular duties and our public nature programs. This month looks like we'll match it and then some.

I might have something this week. SanAndreas from 1up is coming to visit tomorrow and I might blog about our adventures.

I've been so busy with work and catching up on my reading backlog that I haven't touched a game in several weeks. And I've been going through the boxes that are still sitting in the middle of my floor from my move a year and a half ago.
