I can understand that happening. Mix up between the two games. I prob missed out on the sequel because the sound the same and I realized I already had it. 

I honestly view the 3DS and WiiU as two seperate ecosystems unlike the PSVITA which benefits from accessing games from PSN that cross play between PS3, and VITA. Also you can play off screen with VITA in some cases. Im just saying that I cant compare WiiU and 3DS. They are worlds apart unfortunately. 

I remember the game being hard. I think there are points in the game where if you save and arent leveled up, you cant go back and you get stuck. I think that happened to me in one of the boss battles. I kept wiping out and I was like, but this is a Nintendo game? They put a hard game on the GBA? It's so good. Im enjoying it. I havent played the sequel and need to Dark Dawn too. 

You have a larger software selection on 3DS for sure. Especially for the types of games that I enjoy, which are JRPGs. The question is, how badly do you want to play Mario Kart 8? I already own a WiiU, and play Monster Hunter a lot, but it's just one game. I also play the VC games on the gamepad, but there are only a few of those. I like the system, but it needs games dammit! For sure buy a 3DS, I'm not sure about a lot of things in life, but I can definitely tell you that the 3DS--XL will bring a lot of happiness!
