ALttP definitely on the 2-D side.
On the 3-D side, I'm gonna be a contrarian and say Twilight Princess. Honestly, I thought it improved on Ocarina of Time in all but a few ways.
Right now, I'm playing Tales of Destiny and making good progress on it.
I've thought about EDF 2025, and if my personal gaming schedule wasn't so crowded it would be more likely to be bought and played. I like its style, and that's from someone who isn't very into most shooters.
I passed on Sacred 2. Didn't interest me and Diablo-type games aren't my thing. Looks like it's probably safe to give Sacred 3 a miss too.
According to Tom Hall, the game's lead designer, the game did take a lot of inspiration from CT.
The Legend of Heroes will be one of my few forays into PC gaming.... as soon as I replace my wheezing computer. I'll probably go for the GOG version. I always buy GOG over Steam when that choice exists. Also, don't forget, the Second Chapter is supposedly coming in the near future, and I don't think that one has ever been released over here yet.
And I loved Dragon's Crown. Got more playtime last year than any game other than Ni no Kuni.
Supposedly it was Ion Storm's homage to Chrono Trigger. Ironically, since it's an Ion Storm game, I guess that means it's now a Square Enix property.
I watched the Dragon Warrior cartoon when it aired in 1991 (at 5:30 AM on Sunday, on a rather fuzzy UHF station, naturally). It was based pretty heavily on Dragon Quest III, from what I understand. I thought it was awesome to have a game based on Dragon Warrior/Quest, which was right behind Zelda, Mario, Metroid, and Kid Icarus on my list of NES favorites. It was the first anime show I can remember seeing. I might have seen some episodes of Robotech back in the 1980s because my sister was a fan of that series, but can't remember. Apparently, only 13 episodes were localized because Saban Entertainment and Bird Studio got into a big legal wrangle.
Yeah, Nihon Falcom. Their games aren't going to stress anyone's PC out by any stretch, but they're pretty good.
*Raises hand*
